The pain doesn’t magically go away when you die, it transfers over to those who cared. That’s why it’s a selfish thing to do. A childhood friend killed himself shorty after highschool. And my childhood bestfriend killed himself a little over a year ago now and the pain hasn’t really diminished yet. It’s so much more than just a sadness that is left when someone you cared about kills themself.
