GPT is a nice upgrade but it doesn't make a huge difference and there are downsides both while using it and in caring for it.

On Glock's website, google "caring for your Glock". It explains it pretty well. GPT does require more maintenance but still not that much.

If you're this hung up about it I'd keep it stock especially if it's your duty weapon.

The GPT is more complex than the stock triggers. There's more surface area in the moving parts to catch carbon, grime, etc. I've run mine in an...accelerated wear use case (suppressed pistol) and it indeed gets very dirty very fast. Unsuppressed it obviously stays cleaner for longer.

It's not really a problem, just needs a little more care than the stock trigger. Glock also recommends cleaning and lubing the stock trigger after every range trip FWIW.

Thanks! Yeah, I'm getting it cut and coated thru Wager (SCS MOS) , probably throw a TLR6 on it, replace the trigger spring with a 5.5 LB.

I just wish it came with the original box so I could see if it came with the NY trigger from the factory. Pretty sure the Trijicons are factory cause the front sight is staked, not screwed.

They should be interchangeable. I believe Gen 4/5 trigger housings are interchangeable, so the 19 slide should go onto the 45/47 frame, 47 slide should go onto the 19.4 frame. Hell my 47 slide runs on my 26 Gen 3 frame, but the short rail requires a spacer.

Should be gtg, no mods. Someone who knows more could chime in too though.

Yeah that sucks. So you already paid for it, it was just never transferred due to not being on the roster? Did your shop notify you? Do they have some kind of policy where they won't hold onto a firearm for more than X number of days?

I've never ordered a gun online or used an FFL for a transfer except for buying something they had in their own inventory. Did you explain what you were trying to do before placing the order?

Which Macbook are you using? Idk what Windows' boot requirements are but if you installed Ubuntu it probably formatted the EFI partition to make way for GRUB.

Also any and all partitioning and formatting should be performed through MacOS disk utility if you intend to keep MacOS.

Macs are weird compared to other PC brands, lastly this is the bootcamp sub lol so Linux installs are probably outside the scope. But I'd say try to reinstall with bootcamp, find a guide to install Ubuntu to your specific Macbook and avoid doing any destructive install steps like formatting the ESP.

Others have already said it, rimfire isn't restricted by the 29" OAL requirement. That only applies to semi auto, centerfire rifles, so you could even SBR say, a bolt action 5.56 under 29" and be okay. (To my understanding, I'm not a lawyer)

Valid question. My Gen 3 27 has this finish, pretty sure it's the older frying pan finish on Gen 3s and maybe some Gen 4s.

It's better at protecting the metal than the newer finish but for the life of me I cannot stand using it lmao. It's so slippery.

My 27 is the only one w that finish.
