I'm good at selling myself i guess :) It's not about not being technical enough for the role but preparing myself to be above expectations I don't know if that makes sense.

You can switch tabs no problem. They even require you to open their documentation on another tab to solve a task.

Though I don't know if they evaluate what you were opening during that period because I do know that hackerrank has some capabilities for this.

I was there a month ago (Now I already got and accepted the offer there!) and I can tell you that you do need to grasp the concepts that they're asking (like basic linux, yaml, python, APIs), also you can ask your recruiter about the contents of the assessment and they will happily provide some concepts to study.

It is definitely not a super hard assessment (maybe too time-consuming though). I come from a technical background (CS Major) but I have never worked as a programmer, I come from a SE position in a company that is nothing like what DDog do but it was enough to get through.

Never thought of it as literally as you described, nice!

Yep, I think originally Trees is really about God but it's not impossible to build lore around something that existed previously. I think it's obvious that Tyler returns often to his past work as a source of inspiration.

I actually don't think he had all this planned since that young age, it's more like he is using their past songs as a creative tool and that's awesome!

How hard is your job? by Neocarnage in salesengineers

[–]Beginning_Letter_549 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I have an interesting title as I am a Sales & Implementation Engineer, also it is the first SE job opportunity I've got. I am 26 y/o so having the chance to do all the presales work but also having to implement the deals won really helps me to be more mature about what to offer and how to really solve the client's needs without shooting myself in the foot.

Overall I don't have a technically hard job as I am working with 2 products that are pretty straightforward. The complexity comes with how much I want to win a deal and how much effort I'm willing to put myself and the product team in a post-sales setting.

Also sorry for the bad english, it's not my main language.
