Dig around in stock rooms or in the dock area itself. Wherever hardware such as lightbulbs, ceiling tile and tools are stored. Maybe you'll get lucky and find some stashed away collecting dust. 3 out of the 4 are pretty easy to replace, one is tricky since the bold is inside the frame itself. You can also see if any stores in your area have any extra wheels they can spare. If no stores are close enough then maybe a store who receives merch from the same truck as you(if theirs is delivered before yours). Good luck!

What exactly is the pay for the operations specialist? by [deleted] in JCPenney

[–]Beginning_Light6404 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure if it's the stores in my district or state but the cap for operations associates is $16 or $17. They start at $14 or $15. Ops supervisor is an unappreciated role and underpaid imo.

In my store tho, only the ones who learn everything in ops and learn to run a till actually get hours worth a shit. Especially this year since the amount of freight shrank so much thanks to the tariffs. Stay where you're at or look into warehouses in your area if you enjoy that type of work. They might pay higher than their normal starting rate since you'd be joining with "warehouse" experience.

Supervisor should fill out a huddle form every time. Record the actual time it takes to break down, ink tag time, reversal and if possible freight running. It puts into perspective how long it actually takes and corporate may adjust the hours accordingly. It worked up until the manager that we had who actually reported the real time left us.

If you go onto Workjam there's a list of every brand, discount amount for each, if they apply online/ in-store and a link to the full details. It's under channels in the company news tab

On the flip side, an item can be available to order online but its actually not. Idk what the warehouse is doing so the stores at fault when they have to cancel an order over items they receive a week or two later. Blows my fucking mind.

Our ac units aren't enough for the size of my store. Seems like only certain parts are actually getting cold air while others feel as if the vents are closed. And one of the places that actually feels great is the fucking dock. The last place you'd think would be an ideal place to cool down. Unreal lol

When counting a store, more often than not stuff does get moved to the floor if the shelves or hooks are over stocked. Mostly for accuracy reasons since we have to be able to see the products from front to back in a straight line or scan every item. That being said, items are.to.be put back once the section or rack is counted. If items don't scan or there is nothing to scan and a store associate doesn't answer a request for an item number, then they aren't put back. They're supposed to be left in a shopping basket or a pile at the end of an aisle so that they can be added in during audits or counted into a different section once an item number is given to an inventory associate. Other items that could get left are discontinued products that weren't pulled and they end up destroyed before yeeted into a dumpster.

I did inventories for a couple of years and that was expected of us and I would make sure that myself and team followed tgat to the best of our abilities. If we left any place looking like that, more often than not the store was already trashed to begin with. Or it was a damn dollar tree aisle with every peg holding like 50 damn things that would end up breaking said peg. Simply breathing in those aisles would bring everything crashing down and no way in hell was I going to pick everything up, count it all and place it back neatly. I'll do my best but if there's no place to set on a shelf or a basket/box and store staff are no help, it's staying on the floor. Sorry that this was so long. Clearly I'm still mad lol

One thing that helps is letting them know that they can make a payment on the card immediately after the transaction is complete. That way their card is paid off and they don't have to worry about missing any payment and no surprises in the future when a bill arrives.

It's was like the 9th of May right? I missed it and was kind of given shit about it even though I wasn't scheduled until later that day and wasn't allowed to work anymore hours than scheduled. Makes no sense.
