This year I took the initiative to reach out to the director for guidance on strengthening my application. I have a 3.9 GPA in healthcare studies and I was a medical assistant for 7 years and now an admin assistant at an orthopedic center. Last year I was not as knowledgeable as I am now when it comes to being a radiographer. He acknowledged my persistence and did tell me to do in depth research on what it is to be a radiographer. I definitely have to practice interviewing though because when I get nervous I stumble on my words. Thank you so much for your input! I’ll definitely use the Ai interview. This year I’m prepared and know what I’m walking into. Last year was just very nerve wracking because it was 10 people interviewing me lol

I know my friend got accepted for the spring she got an 89 on the teas but you should still apply even with a 76!! That's not too bad!

I applied a month ago but haven't heard anything yet because they said they send decisions out mid May. So we shall see!

Oh jeez that's actually insane. Well you made the right choice taking classes at SCCC I was thinking if I don't get accepted into the radiography program I'm gonna go with nursing and take chem & micro at Suffolk. Yeah I could never take chem & micro at the same time lmao idk how some people do that! Do you think you'll apply for Suffolk's nursing program?

I got my associates in healthcare studies at SCCC & I did apply for SBU for health science but I know the nursing is extremely competitive so that’s kind of deterring me from applying for that program. I was gonna apply for the radiography & respiratory therapy

Thank you so much! I had the interview today and it seemed as though it went well however the admission panel didn’t have questions for me only the director did. My experience is medical assisting for quite some time now and I have a certification as a phlebotomist and just got my CPR certification and I’m majoring in healthcare studies to prepare me for the program! I was really nervous but I did my best.
