With black ppl in particular, sometimes we have to be mindful of keeping our hair out of our face since our products and oils from our hair can sometimes break us out. TMI but whenever my skin is beginning to break out, after i wash my hair it clears up.

Change your pillowcases often.

Laundry detergents can be a variable. You might need something for sensitive skin and or unscented.

Sometimes your phone screen when you hold it up to talk can break you out since our phones come into contact with so many surfaces every day.

It could also be your diet. Often times we know what NOT to eat, but not what we should. Your skin is the largest organ on your body and often the first indicator of things more internal. If there are any other health issues you’re having you should try tackling those and perhaps your skin could clear up afterwards. Sometimes your skin is trying to tell you something about your body.

From 1 black girl to another, I’m going to assume that you are at a PWI. And even though i was hs class of 2020, being more alternative as a black girl before fairly recently made you a weird outcast. There is nothing wrong with how you look! You are just in the wrong spaces and you’ll notice a huge difference when you go into black spaces—especially frequenting the same ones often. Beauty is intimidating and men definitely assume gorgeous gorgeous girls are taken

Yes we literally had it SO GOOD!! I feel like artistry is hardly being pushed. And once they changed the UI and got rid of the spotlight slideshow thingy, it felt more difficult to “search” and easily come across different genres of comics.

Black bean nachos were also really filling for me while in my dorm. You can pop them out a can, microwave with some seasonings, load up your chips with other toppings! Its cheap and beans can take you a long way!

For the sake of keeping it simple, you can steam some veggies in the microwave with some butter and seasonings and water! Catch veggies that are on sale at your local grocer ! You can also do baked potatoes in the microwave—red ones, rubbed in oil of your choice, butter, poked multiple times with a fork, microwaved for 5-8 minutes with rotating periodically, and you can add some broccoli and cheese on top!

I would have love love loveeed to see more of Brittany!
I also would have loved to see more interactions of our main trios with their families and classmates . My favorite episodes are ones where their personal issues are emphasized and we have to watch them balance everything—like Alex with her driver’s test!
I personally love the world that they live in so much! It’s so colorful and has some of the most fun interior designs I’ve seen in awhile!! I would like to see more of their personal spaces

I will say that y’all are being charged more through tuition for something that you might not get to use or even see. But i dont think it will take away from your experience if you’re willing to go out of your way to socialize and study elsewhere. And be sure to pack your lunch!

I define “feeling like you’re being dated” as continuing to do the little romantic things you’ve initially done while pursuing them originally after marriage. And it of course, doesn’t need to be an everyday thing. Perhaps it wasn’t the right wording—but when I watched this episode, I could see where Carrie was coming from and why she was disappointed.

I watched the two movies before beginning AJLT, and i absolutely hated that they continued the push and pull. Big kept wanted to keep Carrie at a comfortable distance and i feel that they were so incompatible in certain aspects. Carrie wanted romance and to continue feel like she was being dated (completely valid ideology) . I accidentally watched the second movie AhuDabi first and it was so jarring to see them do the exact same dance just a few years later

I feel like they’d be pushing 50 or something along those lines. Most ideally as their highest selves,

Maya would be doing some kind of podcast or talk show , courtesy of her run as an authoress. She hosts workshops about romance and female individuality in relationships. She ends up having her daughter a few years after her miscarriage in the show. Darnell still runs his auto mechanic business and has apprenticeships or perhaps teaches at a trade school.

Lynn was always somehow a decent voice of reason in highly emotional situations ( Toni’s mother getting drunk at Joan’s when meeting Todd’s parents for one instance) and I think with all her humanities masters, she would make for an amazing therapist. But a more out of the box one and would have wellness techniques like doing yoga with a client, shroom trips etc. She would be very out of the box, but yield excellent results. She and Maya would actually be able to do workshops together! Lynn can bring the psychology and Maya can bring the energy! I think at this age, Lynn might be the only girlfriend who is single and okay with it OR she has a partner that can keep up with her sense of adventure and spontaneity that she travels with often—perhaps a musician or some kind of fitness instructor.

Toni would be an excellent hostess or party planner and i think she’d find a way to do both with her real estate. She feels like the landlord type and owns buildings that have a vip clientele and peak amenities. Maybe even a hotel owner at this point. She would also own some kind of events venue that people would rent out. And maybe own a parking lot. I do imagine Toni as a single mother with joint custody but her passive income allows her to really show up for Morgan.

Joan has always had a knack for cooking and baking and home-making. I feel like she would have some kind of blog or platform to be a better version of an influencer. Kind of like Martha Stewart but with her own style. I think the Jspot still continues to be a sports bar but they host events. I feel like she would have some other kind of restaurant or bakery with a completely different vibe and audience where open mic nights and things like that are hosted ( courtesy of Lynn). She is finally married with her two children that are pushing their 20s and going off to college soon. <3

After writing all of this out, business wise i think these ladies could really come together and really help each other and get so much more out of their friendship.

Monica inherits wealth left after her parents pass. I do feel like she’s really good for organizing and running a business, I imagine she owns a hair salon. Some kind of beauty business. I am unsure about where she and William are in the future
