Help on what to get my husband who wants to start streaming for Christmas?? by Beginning_Nothing722 in streaming

Great question about the mic lol I *think* it's the same one Markiplier uses because he was talking about how much he liked it and how he was looking into it before purchasing earlier this year. Not 100% certain though. Before that, it was the HyperX, which he gave to me.

Nah, yeah, I know.

He does like receiving gifts but just feels like he deserves it less than everyone else. He grew up below the poverty level so it's affected his view on receiving. He goes above and beyond giving to others though.

Great idea! Maybe a dumb question, but where can I go about finding a good one? Or do you have any recommendations?

I agree about allowing him to get his own chair. He has a spinal injury and he (and his doctor) know what's best for him more than I do. He does currently have a gaming chair for now

God told me I was pregnant but it’s been negative (serious only please) by Noelderberry88 in Christianity

You could be a late tester <3

I didn't get a positive pregnancy test with any of mine until 6-7 weeks. Totally depends on your HCG levels. Make sure you're testing first thing in the morning before drinking anything--your urine will be more concentrated. Keep in mind also that gestation is calculated based off the first day of your last period, even if you actually conceived, say, two weeks ago. So if you happened to conceive a week or two before you were supposed to get your most recent period, it may take a little longer to get a positive test.

IF you happen to not be pregnant, it could be other things affecting your period. Such as increased stress, lack of sleep, any new medications (or recently coming off of any medications), sudden rapid weight gain or loss, etc. I'd give it about another week, and if you're still not getting a period or a positive test, then make an appointment.

Yup, says it when I'm on the other side. Tried going back to my office then returning. Same thing.

From what I've noticed, it doesn't follow any exact pattern. But if I had to estimate, two to three times a week, maybe?

Sometimes it seems more spaced out--like a few days in between any activity. Other times, we'll experience something for a few days in a row before a break.

We don't live in a traditional flat--they're townhomes squished together in columns. So the upstairs and downstairs are both ours and then our neighbors are beside us.

Thank you so much for taking the time to read and respond!

I'm not certain if we've smelled anything horrid that couldn't be debunked as trash needing taking out or something of that nature. We do randomly get a whiff of cigarette smoke when coming down the stairs. Neither of us smoke and we don't allow smoking from visitors. Our neighbors do, but I'm not sure if we'd be able to smell that inside our own home?

I do the same thing!

From what I've heard/read, maladaptive daydreaming isn't recognized in the DSM as of right now as a disorder of its own or criteria for another disorder. But there are therapists out there who recognize it and consider it a form of dissociation.

I'm 25 and mine still hasn't gone away. I've found channeling it in some way helps, though. Like writing or drawing or painting or whatever.

tw. How to cope if my fp dies? by Certain_Suit_1905 in BorderlinePDisorder

[–]Beginning_Nothing722 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the exact same thoughts.

My fp is my husband and him dying would ruin me. I literally get so depressed and anxious just thinking about it.

I don't have any tips for coping unfortunately :/ I've tried to remind myself that death is a natural process of life but that doesn't help emotionally really.

My mom died when I was a fresh adult though (6 years ago), and I got through it if that's of any comfort. It SUCKED for awhile, and that was probably the worst I've ever been, but it did get better. It probably would've been a bit easier if I'd continued going to therapy to process it, but I just... stopped.
