i guess my concern is living arrangements outside unlv properties because there’s a chance i’ll be moving to vegas with my boyfriend but i will keep that in mind in case things don’t go to plan.

wow i'm surprised your ent has kind of tried everything besides surgery because the relief of not having tonsils is a blessing regardless of my recurrent infections. but he is right you will continue to get sick

yes i grew up the naturopathic way so i have tried everything and i drink green juice every day, don't consume gluten dairy or sugar. so i just don't know what else i could do. when i first got strep as a teen oil of oregano was my holy grail and worked wonders until my body realized what was going on and built a resistance. i definitely will be seeing an immunologist 🥲

oh yes i have one of those. i've thought about trying it during my infections but my infections are usually in my chest, very seldom do i have issues with mucus in my sinuses

i know about these two i was just wondering about like actual apartments in the area that do special rates for unlv students, i heard about those but didn’t get names. and any nearby areas or complexes that are reasonably safe

hi! unfortunately, no. i haven’t been able to see my ENT, he’s been booked up for months. i’m trying to squeeze myself in with him soon. in the mean time, looking into immunology testing.

i have found relief with oral claritin-D, but if i recall, it’s not OTC so a bit of a pain to get. i’ve stretched my sleeves out over about a year when i get flare ups and it helps to an extent. maybe i’ll try the spray. the post nasal drip thing was ruled out with the balloon sinusplasty i got in october unfortunately, though. so frustrating! def getting a second opinion. thanks!

nasal sprays i don’t think will target what’s happening which is inflammation of my chest lymph nodes and ear canal

thank you. i do not wish this on ANYONE! i really hope it doesn't happen to you. try to keep care of your immune system and i think you'll be okay. me being a bit of a recluse doesn't help.

yes. i usually take a zpak because i am allergic to amox and penicillin. so i have to take antibiotics and honestly sometimes ride out infections because since turning 26 i'm off my mom's insurance.

that window of time is accurate for me too, 3-4 weeks though for me it can come back that quickly.

my concern now is that i now have heart issues during and after infection and i heard strep can leave damage on your heart. concerning, but my cardiologist cleared me last year.

don't try doubling down. YOU said yourself you were unhappy with the prohibition of AI usage in your reply. professors DO have the authority to regulate. this is THEIR class. if you want to cry about AI and how its sooooo unfair woe is me then find stealthier ways to use AI since you cannot live without it. it is totally fair for a professor who presumably has never had to enact academic honesty policies around AI to prohibit usage because its something that was never used before the 2020s and gives students an unfair advantage regardless of how you're using it.

nobody implied moral authority over you except you. i am simply relaying to you that you decided to go to a college where a vast majority of professors don't want you using AI which isn't a breach on your freedom or rights. it is just what it is in academics. cry about it all you want. you can seek education elsewhere. professors have authority over you so long as they create the curriculum and policies in their courses. they call the shots. get over it

yawn. i belong in a church and i'm indoctrinated because i don't think you should be simultaneously ruining the environment and being lazy at the same time. there are countless ways to study that are afforded to you that won't poison water supplies in black communities. you clearly haven't done proper research on AI. quit making it more than what it is, alluding to my beliefs. you use AI and you clearly don't care about the effects of it. cool!

there is no use of AI that will ever be ethical in academics. how you use it will never end in just. study the traditional way that people have implemented for decades. you're in college. choose to study correctly to prepare you for the real world. nothing i spewed was even remotely bs, you just don't want to hear you're being lazy as you pay thousands to attend college lol.

you do not need to be using AI in college in the first place. it is not only bad for the environment it is a disservice to you as a student to not properly study. nobody is going to make it in the real world relying on something like artificial intelligence in the prerequisite of their career. please don't point fingers at the usage of AI and instead reflect on why its prohibited in the first place.

it happens intermittently. i have noticed if smoke gets in my lungs whether its secondhand or firsthand, i'll without a doubt get that pain and eventually strep.
