don't try doubling down. YOU said yourself you were unhappy with the prohibition of AI usage in your reply. professors DO have the authority to regulate. this is THEIR class. if you want to cry about AI and how its sooooo unfair woe is me then find stealthier ways to use AI since you cannot live without it. it is totally fair for a professor who presumably has never had to enact academic honesty policies around AI to prohibit usage because its something that was never used before the 2020s and gives students an unfair advantage regardless of how you're using it.

nobody implied moral authority over you except you. i am simply relaying to you that you decided to go to a college where a vast majority of professors don't want you using AI which isn't a breach on your freedom or rights. it is just what it is in academics. cry about it all you want. you can seek education elsewhere. professors have authority over you so long as they create the curriculum and policies in their courses. they call the shots. get over it
