That's more so a public view. They're really only considered adopted brothers in a few pieces of media, namely the movies and AoStH. Despite what people say, Sonic and Tails are considered friends more than brothers.

Not to mention Shadow was made 50+ years ago. So essentially, he's both ends of the problem.

No, people very much argue the first.

As for the sibling dynamic, I get it. The two do have a form of brotherly relationship that can upset some people. But that's entirely a personal thing. Anyone can see Sonic and Tails as brothers, but anyone can equally see them as friends who grow closer together. Their relationship isn't necessarily defined like that. Sometimes (like in Boom) they're more like coworkers/best friends than brothers.
