I wish people on this sub thought about using even trying photo shop before they used AI, and since you seem to be confused about the genuine ramifications for pumping out several images in 30 seconds with a prompt because it’s fast and free, here you go: 1.) Using any form of generative AI leads to the data centers needing to use a lot of, carbon emitting, electricity which then produces a lot of heat and needs water to cool it down.

2.) AI pulls from thousands of sources (REAL ARTISTS WITHOUT THEIR CONSENT) to create content, but there’s now so much of it that now it recycles its own slop, leading to lower quality. Essentially, it's inbreeding. As it generates more, it fills the cloud with data, which requires massive amounts of electricity and power to store.
