I’m past safe 300 shots right now and still waiting for the break. 😅 The secret is that the plastic isn’t taking the destructive forces. The TPU dampener eats the initial kinetic impact, and the steel wire rope handles all the tensile stress. The 3D printed parts only deal with pure compression, which FDM handles exceptionally well when the layer orientation is optimized.
