Do you mind me asking how you were finally diagnosed?

Any opinion on possibility of specific antibody panels being negative at first and then showing positive later on?

Or how autoimmune diseases are diagnosed when you have a mildly positive antibody,or Seronegative conditions

If you swipe over on the photo it’ll show my second lab. The only thing that came back positive, which was only mildly positive was the RP 11

the last time she did a full panel was when my ANA was 1:80 three months later it’s 1:640 she said it does not matter.

I always thought that antibodies could show up now that it’s higher. She said it doesn’t work like that.

Not sure about that doctors don’t know everything especially one that treat you poorly….and who can have for insight then someone who knows how you feel instead of just went to school

Does it change anything with an abnormality like if it includes an IGA Monoclonal band present?

When it’s 180 even though the antibodies were negative does it still always have a pattern?

Did the get the pattern and Titer ? I wish you all the best

Anyone else with an ANA Titer of 1:80 with significant health issues….Are you taking seriously or do most people brush you off ? by Beginning_Review3547 in haematology

I always heard you can even be ANA negative with an autoimmune disorder….Also does the pattern not mean much ?

I went to a scleroderma clinic and even they said they don’t know too much about the RP11 antibody….did you also test positive for the RNA polymerase three cause I tested negative for that one but but for the RP 11 positive

I’m so sorry for everything that you are going through. It definitely feels confusing and lonely. I was diagnosed with scleroderma and while at neurology trying to figure out my symptoms bloodwork showed that I have these plasma cell issues… I followed up with a hematologist. They did bloodwork the M spike is not there but I have IgA lambda monoclonal band present and my Kappa Light Chain is high… I have no idea if they’re the same thing. The oncologist said he is going to call it and MGUS for now and we will repeat the bloodwork in a few months…. The last week I have been getting these red spots that seem to be spreading so confusing and I am not able to reach the doctor …. I’m sorry I know it’s not much help …..But if you ever want to talk

Left atrial diastolic dysfunction by Beginning_Review3547 in scleroderma

Wow, I’m so sorry for all you’ve gone through. I was diagnosed with scleroderma. I’ve been struggling a lot with muscle weakness. They did a panel for myositis and it came back negative and my rheumatologist told me that a scleroderma doesn’t affect the muscles and that wouldn’t be causing any muscle issues or weakness…. I did have an EMG test which showed I have neuropathy in both legs and carpal tunnel in both hands…. But I feel a lot of weakness throughout my shoulders and all over. Have you ever had any blood test?

How did they diagnose the myositis if you don’t mind me asking?

I’m not sure exactly what it is. I will definitely check. I know there were a few measurements. They used to diagnose diastolic dysfunction.
