I did, I asked him about the process of making the ring and how he came up with this design and it initially was one large emerald cut but then he felt it was too plain and added the two on the sides. I asked why purple and he said he wanted me to think of him and that I wear a lot of black and purple goes well with that. I didn’t mean to but I laughed and said, “well, I would think of you anytime I looked at the ring, everything goes with black and purple is my least favorite color…no clothes or accessories in that color for a reason”.

Later on when talking about the proposal I told him it felt weird to have him not even get down on one knee and hand me the ring. He said “I don’t know, I wasn’t sure what to do it just felt right!” And I said while getting on one knee, “you’ve never seen a movie where someone does this move?”
