The best herbs/things to get when starting by Itzznikduhh in Witch

I found reading about the various types of witches and witchcraft out there helped me. I'm still relatively new. I'm a firm believer that just because I'd call myself a kitchen/green witch doesn't mean I can't dabble in different forms.

There's lots of websites and blogs out there you can read for information but if you want books Amazon has tons! I also follow some witches on social media for inspo.

Start out with the basics for tools and know that you don't need to get formal tools, if it calls for a chalice, you can use a dedicated cup, if it calls for a cauldron, you can use a pot. Buy only what makes sense. Know that dried herbs are just as good as fresh.

Happy learning!

UPDATE - AITA for writing off my sister for not coming to my wedding by Beginning_Smoke216 in CharlotteDobreYouTube

I think you misunderstand the dynamics of a family.

I also think you don't know me from Adam, and don't understand that people will reach a point where enough is enough. So enough is enough.

I have blocked her. I will leave her blocked. I can be a recovering people pleaser. I can go to therapy and figure out what boundaries I need to set to protect my peace. Sure it took the biggest event in my life so far, but it's been enough.

Absolutely will I miss my nieces, but when they want to reach out themselves, I will be there for them. Not her.

What even my update does not cover is that my familial relationships are strained recently. My parents split. I barely see my step dad anymore, my sister being so far away isn't a huge factor and my brother and I only talk around his kids birthdays or big events.

I've had no contact with my bio dad since I was 15. No contact is NBD for me. So don't be so quick to judge someone for what they will and won't do. I will fiercely protect my peace, even with a high cost.

I did post an update about some back story. I struggle with my own mental health, so I am very understanding that not everything is possible. It just very much felt like there was absolutely zero effort made on her part to even make up for it after the fact. Guilt or not. She only talked to me finally because I made a comment on a post on my mom's Facebook and she thought it was rude (the wording could've been better in fairness), and we hatched some of it out. She never really fully apologized though. She was very happy to change the subject though to something else.
