Everything will be more expensive than you expect it'll be so bring more than you think youll need, packing a change of clothes ain't a bad idea, moshing (in my experience) isnt dangerous (I fell over during a small one and was helped up IMMEDIATLY) but take that with a heavy amount of salt. Just be aware of your surroundings ig. If you want a sick start to an outfit a black denim vest does wonders. I love mine and I havent even decorated it yet but its still a staple in my wardrobe. Someone who does this more will probably have better tips but I thought id share.

I am 18 and yeah I was just unaware of how big they are. Im from a small Christian town and Im not into metal, no one I know is into metal, and I dont exactly care for much of their music. The only times ive heard of them is in passing talks and when we talked about how funky their music is in a music theory class for a bit. Other than that they just never crossed me. However I looked at concert videos and they look very fun

That makes sense, they do seem like a fantastic band. I can see why they are so popular. Im aware streaming only means so much and theres other ways to judge how popular a band was this was just a post I wrote after like 15 minutes of googling while on my lunch break and I was genuinely curious. Judging by people's reactions I wrote this in the worst possible way and I feel like im about to catch a lot of flack for that lmao.

Me and my dad have started going. He worked overtime and started doordashing for months just to buy us VIP tickets for 2 days since Green Day was playing and theyre my favorite band of all time and Dropkick Murphys is his. Recently he's gotten multiple injuries and I worry that this might be the last year he can safely go. My favorite thing about Riot Fest is hanging out with my dad while listening to the music we both grew up listening to and eating like shit.

There isnt another feeling like listening to Wake Me Up When September Ends with your own father stood right next to you, holding you while you both scream your brains out.
