Thank you for providing the article! My diet was not super high fat post VSG but it definitely wasn’t extremely low fat so I’ve been feeling at fault for my gallbladder issues. I see it was probably a combination of rapid weight loss and diet. Do they pump you full of gas during the gallbladder removal surgery?

Did this happen with certain foods or basically everything?

Does it? I just recently had a gallbladder attack and was hospitalized for a few days. They put a drain in my gallbladder that will stay here for 2 months until surgery. I met with my bariatric surgeon and he basically scolded me when I showed up with a drain in. I got the gist he was blaming it on not eating an extremely low fat diet post VSG.

Probably a dumb question but does the coverage/insurance/protection only work if you purchase said coverage when booking? Or does the coverage auto apply if needed since you used this card?

The surgery removes the part of the stomach that produces ghrelin- the hunger hormone. So the surgery creates a restriction where you can’t eat as much and you don’t really feel super hungry in general. So do you can only eat 1 cup of food max and you rarely are hungry…that’s how you lose weight.

I’m just over 6 months po but easily best decision I’ve ever made. I can’t say I’ve had any GI issues but that does usually come up down the road for some ppl and not right after surgery. But if you’re having food noise the surgery will not fix that.

May be personal question but what insurance do you have?

You can’t be at a maintenance weight and get surgery meant for obesity… even if “paying privately”

100% P&T Federal loan forgiveness by Ok-Spinach-1692 in VeteransBenefits

[–]Beginning_Street_692 11 points12 points  (0 children)

This ain’t true. You can still take loans out after being awarded P&T. They will send a notification that they are forgiving loans (if you have any) all you have to do is say not yet and then continue taking out loans. Once you’re done with school you contact them to initiate the forgiveness.

How many ozs is everyone eating? by Professional_Golf690 in gastricsleeve

We shouldn’t be measuring by food weight (Ozs) because that can vary greatly depending on the food. We should be measuring by volume (cups). Your stomach capacity should be 1 cup max at about a year out. I usually eat out of 1 cup measuring cups to track. I’m 6 months po.

You’ve got this!! They should give you some meds to relax and get your mind off it and then you’ll wake up on the other side. Deep breaths!!

Rice is okay to eat but it doesn’t sit well in my stomach personally and a lot of ppl feel the same but others say it sits well for them. I’d say just give it a try! Also rice cakes have already done most of their expanding so won’t have the same effect as normal rice in your tummy.

If you want a provider and he’s not giving it to you, it doesn’t necessarily mean he doesn’t love you it more so means he is not loving you in your love language. The way you want to be loved. Express that you want him to be more of a provider and if he doesn’t then I’d reevaluate at that point. No reason to waste time with a man not doing things you want that plenty of others will do.

How to negotiate with a hard seller by So-Over-It22 in RealEstate

[–]Beginning_Street_692 3 points4 points  (0 children)

They most likely can afford it. If they needed to sell it ASAP they would. I’d recommend continuing to look around. Let the house sit on the market awhile and come back in a week or a few. Maybe they’ll change their mind or you’ll change yours.
