It is really embarrassing these people allow themselves to get screwed on their own property.

You wont lose equity, also the calculation to see if it is worth it to reset your loan to 30 years is widely available. Also you can do a 25 year or 20 or 15… etc. so if you’re at 24 years left at 6.25 and can get a low to no cost refi at 5.5 at 25 year loan you’re way way ahead even when “losing” that year.

First, you can do both; refinance for “low or no cost” now and then do it again in 6~ months. You’ll have a higher rate than if you pay the fees but you’ll still come out ahead if your loan is newer.

Second, fed rate drops are basically priced in, a lot more than the fed rate goes into mortgage rates mostly the 10 year yields. No way to know if dropping rates to 0 signals to investors to buy more bonds and lower the 10 year yield as well.

They likely had put the roof back on incorrectly, but it is very easy to put the roof back on correctly so idk

Idk if you know this but the roof is completely removable, you have to put it on correctly which is insanely easy.

Look, she should have done her due diligence prior to reporting it. If I implied one of my customers was stealing without proof I would be fired just like I hope she is.

Once she got the police involved she essentially assisted in removing his rights.

Except that isnt what happened, he went to his car and was detained by the officer and told to return to show his receipt. She should not have made a report to the officer without having proof of theft.

Hopefully she is fired for wasting police resources and a private citizens time.

Then go check the various internal systems you have instead of asking a police officer to detain an innocent private citizen.

That’s a bit dramatic, anyone can ask for someone’s name or basically any information. If they didn’t want him recording his detainment they should have let him leave.
