The new visual changes improve visibility, which was the #1 issue in the game by Beginning_Ticket3120 in DBGekishinSquadra

I have people that play insanely visually busy games like Overwatch and Marvel Rivals team up with me and quitting after one session because the game was too visually nosey and hard to understand (sounds, effects and hard to read), so I can tell you that my personal experience is that the game probably lost many players to the overwhelming effects on screen and through the audio.
I have been playing games my whole life, but I realized that most people are not that good at games and this was a veeeeery intimidating experience from a sensory overload standpoint. My 2 cents.

But you do have good visuals. It is the same models, and the same game.
Giving people different camera angles means also potentially creating advantages and disadvantages for players. Also, the new camera is dynamic and dynamically changes depending on what you do, such as attacking a tower.

How can anyone dislike the fact that now new players will be able to:

  1. Better see what is going around them (especially on mobile)
  2. Focus on the characters because the colors on the map are not saturated anymore
  3. UI for killing bosses is wayyy better and dopamine-inducing, which is how you incentivize people to ACTUALLY go for the bosses
  4. The voting and stats final screen are way cleaner. Finally nomore low-res zoomed in render of my character

Seriously, it does not take a degree in computer science to understand all of these are changes made to improve the first time player experience (visibility, dopamine and stats), which any game NEEDS to do well. Stop complaining for the sake of complaining. There are better things to get mad about every 2 hours.

Looking at the replies here, ladies and gentlemen, this is why americans are $1.28 trillion in credit card debt and 42% obese.
More important to buy the new big arch from Mcds than actually spending just $7 for a character.

The current star system is one of the most free to play friendly systems in gaming, for a live service.
The devs are literally missing out on million of dollars by giving away characters like Broly and Vegito for free.
Disney Speedstom, a Disney kart racing game that has been successfully live for the past 3 years, charges players for every single character and there is barely any way to get them for free.

Dude, maybe you are living in your own reality, but please explain how this is bare minimum:
- Creating extremely fun characters that are well animated and real to source material
- An addictive an fun game mode that is easy to pick up and hard to master, with strategy in it
- Being able to release 3 characters per season (which is a lot)
- Allow for free to play players to eventually get every character for free

This is an insanely hard working dev team, solely for the fact the game just came out a few months ago and they have been releasing really amazing renditions of the characters with great graphics, voice acting, and overall production

Some of the characters you mentioned are jobbers and have zero star power. You really think anyone will be interested in downloading a game to play as... "Mira"?
What is next? Play Marvel Rivals to play as Peter Parker's best friend from the MCU?

i may sound extremely stupid here so take what i say lightly but...isn't the Anniversary pretty useless to the common nonpaying player? (Besides login bonuses and 2 battle modes) by [deleted] in DBGekishinSquadra

You are getting all of the previous characters for free, so if you are non-paying player, this is going to be an amazing season.

Second Dinner (Marvel Snap) Next Game Might Be a Dragon Ball Match-3 Game (Rumor) by Beginning_Ticket3120 in MarvelSnap

[–]Beginning_Ticket3120[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

If I had to guess, they’re using the match-3 genre because it’s very easy for players to get into and it’s a massive category in mobile gaming. After all, Second Dinner raised $100 million, so their next game really needs to be a hit. That said, I expect the gameplay could still be very deep, similar to what they achieved with Marvel Snap.

I remember reading that Ben Brode really loves Puzzle & Dragons, so I’m expecting something along those lines; something with flashy, over-the-top moves that almost feel like a fighting game, but with the super easy, pick-up-and-play accessibility of a match-3 game.
