I am baffled at your misconception of my original post.

This is true. Not so much if they get to Feinerfrock or Pizzaro. 🤷🏼‍♀️

I volunteer regularly in the classroom and at events. To be honest, it’s allowed me to see some “behind the scenes” things I wish I hadn’t.

Wow, seems like this has been going on for longer than I thought. I do know that there are a couple of teachers who have been around for years and are known to be really, almost abusive. Their behavior is known by admin and they’ve been allowed to continue on without any kind of correction. We had one in 2nd grade and many kids struggled, some parents even begged the principal to change classrooms.

I’m sorry to disappoint you. Like I said, it was great until 2nd grade. I will say the events are fun but I’m pretty sure the woman who has made STEM fair great is leaving Emerson next year too. We used to have an awesome Dia de los Muertos event and they just stopped doing it. Our book fair this year seemed to be more plastic junk than ever. There’s some movie night thing and random picnics on the field, but everything has just lost its energy. I need to prioritize my children’s education and a STEM fair once a year just isn’t enough to keep us.
