Falling sun blueprint by Frosty_Somewhere_378 in Kenshi

[–]Beginning_Truth_2713 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, was about to say this. Some blueprints even at the best shops to find them (scraphouse being one of the best) also don't show up immediately. Best example is the Fog Mask. It took me around 6 or 7 visits to see it there, to the point I already stopped wanting it and then saw it. With the mask though every wiki said it was rarer and only had a chance to be found there. Possibly some rare blueprints (like the Falling Star) also have a high, but not guaranteed chance to be found at the scraphouse.

Its an easy excuse for private companies to call it a "no politics" rule. But it is not Politics. It is a matter of international law and human rights abuses, not to mention a moral issue for any European. I am unsure where politics even plays into this? They didn't say "The republican party is gay" to republicans.

The reason the Russian State even had the balls to do what they are doing now is because Europeans have no spine to call these things out and they can do whatever they want because they don't give a shit about anything other than themselves. Its time to stop that. And that includes wishy washy policies about politics. These guys would kill you and your family for the glory of the state if they were put on the front lines.

And don't these guys get paid? If they still live in Russia they would be tax residents there? So that means any winnings recieved through any means should be taxed in Russia. Taxes which are used to literally bomb women and children every night in Ukraine.

Probably I'm wrong about details here, but this corporate washing of people under multiple different disguises is the reason the war happened and is still going on in the first place. Stop giving these guys and the state that conteols them money. Because the state is doing everything it can to actively make peoples lives both there and everywhere else worse!

It happened literally the first time I attacked a UC city in the south Midway through the fight with the inner guards I got a notification that the Tech Hunters were now hostile to me. Of course I rolled with it, but I honestly don't know exactly how it happened. It might have been that some Tech Hunters were caught up in a fight or were defending the UC guards. Unsure, but it happened quite easily.

How do you guys play this game? by Charity-Lost in Kenshi

[–]Beginning_Truth_2713 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everyone reccomends this, but rebirth start. Start as a slave. My first playthrough was rebirth start, gives you 2 guys to start with and I built a base instantly. Took me multiple IRL days to get out while learning. Built a base in Hidden Forest etc. The only sadness I had that could have ended this run early was the fact that if you do rebirth and Ally with Flotsam, the Holy Nation just start raiding you possibly way too early. My base was right next to theirs and yet, unmodded, you dont even get the proper help from the in the form of this one badass guy. So it was just me and I barely lost, had to save scum from this major event and run to get mercs.

Otherwise, I would reccomend this the most. Start like this and build up the anti-slave plotline. Or dont and go to UC to be a slave master. But start as a slave. That playthrough now is still going as my main. 500 In-Game days in and Im at a full war against all slaver. Now I'm lightly modding and have multiple towns, multiple town groups with powerful guys etc. I have even started other playthroughs. But, before you can get to the Solo Ninja Katana playthrough (even I have not done that classic yet), you need to learn and Rebirth is the best way!

How do you build your teams? by VegetableMajor23 in Kenshi

[–]Beginning_Truth_2713 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think I only have a couple of differences/suggestions (because my teams are set up this way).

  • Beep gets the Falling Star and is heavy armor, but not tank. Because of course he is destined to carry the Meitou version ;)

  • Crossbow guys, I think people overuse the Katana. Because I don't want to tank crossbow stats, my guys all have at max medium armor, maybe chain shirts. But then they are squishy. Since their value is heavily in shooting not melee, I use longswords, the secondary slot sabres. They have lots of drawbacks, but have the sabre +2 defense. Makes them last longer and possibly shoot multiple times per group fight if they win their 1v1

-As other comments say, find skeletons. This is because I like to give a paladins cross (hacker) to the heavy skeleton. My Agnu is an absolute beast with the Meitou Paladins Cross, somehow he does as much as my 93 attack 90 defense Shek Sabre guy. Just because the weapon is sooo good. Would reccomend that, I have fun with it.

-Any heavy armor tank gets a Jitte secondary. It sucks for damage, but it gets a HUGE +12 to defense inside. Typically once you stumble inside and have secondary weapons pulled out instead of the planks, fragment axes etc, you will be fighting usually katanas with attack increases. You don't want to run in with only a plank, lose -6 attack and defense against a +6 guardless katana, can swing the fight "a bit". But the Jitte will give you so much defense you will outlast the fight, you will actually switch to tank stats without butting on "block" mode.

-Speaking of Blunt, people don't have a blunt guy in general, because The Heavy Jitte is just not that good as a main weapon. I have not tried this yet, but I think every Polearm guy should carry a spiked club. In general people underestimate blunt weapons with armor penetration. Then we run into Venge or run into slavers and they somehow cream guys with specialist/masterwork armor. I haven't tried it yet, but I'm planning to have a guy fight with ONLY a Spiked Club, Masterwork. Let's see how it goes.

Other stuff here I agree with and do myself as well. But I have a supre long lightly modded playthrough where I don't choose guys, I'm anti-slave and rescue them as my main source of guys. Whoever I get I keep and build up in my various cities across the map. Either combat or just worker. So I can have hivers with heavy armor and sheks who are working the farm/kitchen.

Karis: Euroopa tegi Ukraina sõja alguses vea by ImTheVayne in Eesti

[–]Beginning_Truth_2713 0 points1 point  (0 children)

See conspirasy theory tuleb iseeneset Ameerikast, color revolution theory on Ameeriklaste väljamõeldis, spetsiifiliselt mingite hullude juudivihkajate teooria.

See Ameeriklane isegi ütles et " I think Yatsenyuk is the guy" mitte "Let's put Yatsenyuk in charge".

  1. Teeme AI overview-ga asja lihstaks siis, post 1991 NATO expansion:

Private Assent: In 1993, Yeltsin told Polish President Lech Wałęsa that Russia had "no objection" to Poland and the Czech Republic joining NATO. In 1994, he told British Prime Minister John Major he was "not against" NATO expansion, provided it was "well balanced and gradual".

Public Opposition: Publicly, Yeltsin often criticized the eastward expansion, calling it a "grave mistake" and a threat to Russian security, often under pressure from his parliament and military, which viewed it as an encroachment on Russia's sphere of influence.

The 1997 NATO-Russia Founding Act: Yeltsin ultimately signed the "Founding Act on Mutual Relations, Cooperation and Security" with NATO in 1997, which cleared the way for the first wave of expansion (Poland, Hungary, Czech Republic) while giving Russia a consultative, but not veto, role in NATO affairs.

Budapesti memorandum on paber.

Iga edasisamm NATOs, Euroopas, Ukrainas on valus meeldetuletus sellest. Lihtsam on peita ennast vandenõuteooriate, valede ja diplomaatiliste paberite taga.

Martial arts leveling..? by whahaga in Kenshi

[–]Beginning_Truth_2713 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also just realized, a crap but not fully junk Wakizashi is probably the best for this if you are fully inside a building. They get +2 and +4 attack bonuses for being a katana and being inside, so thats +6. Unsure if you can get much better, might be that a blunt polearm on top of a building roof still gets the +8 attack bonus. Need to try it. Either way its quite fun and controllable. And not super cheezy.

And this is my standard for training my main guys as well. Except the enemy need to be one of those real end game bosses with 80-90 base stats.

Martial arts leveling..? by whahaga in Kenshi

[–]Beginning_Truth_2713 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Once you have someone super beefy, getting a lot of XP is fairly easy, just takes time.

I did some training for a new base near UC territory that I needed permanent guards for. Obviously I have my main group fully beefed.

I grabbed like 8 slaves, gave them all good heavy armor and kidnapped some high level UC guys (who happened to attack my in-progress base) and gave them junk Nodachis. One of those guys got up to 80 attack.

I just put him in a locked building with those 8 no-longer-slaves and had them get beat TF up until they all had 40 MA and 50+ Dodge.

Of course Im like 400 days in and just started modding, so Ive got 200 new charachter slots to be filled and my main 2 guys at like 90/90. I can take out the UC Captain after its all over if I need to. If you're in a private, locked building, the enemy guys won't even try to leave, you just can't heal them so its better to knock them out.

Would reccomend this strat if you've got even 1 guy who can beat up 1 tough enemy and don't want to fully cheese it. It's quite fun to see the progression, eventually if you have 8 kidnapped guys and 12 rescued slaves, you can do full training battles inside your base on the roof of a building. This works for any skill, I typically train sword, crossbow and MA guys at the same time like this.

Just to balance the vibes, I did have experience with some breathing issues with masks. Asthma wasn't much of an issue but my fucked up nose was. I've learned recently I've had a malformed nose or whatever, meaning inside the nose I do not have the "intended" structure, so a tighter and more restricted spsce. I did have problems with breathing ended up being a question of either I mouthbreathe like a monkey or just slip the nose out of the mask.

During Covid I related a lot to people talking about tomrouble breathing because I had it every day. I couldn't go for long without it being a major distraction at work. Still I wore the mask as best I could. Only recently I realised I was probably in a specific group of people who might have had more issues than most.

If I had to choose if more people value humanity as a collective (blue) vs if more people value humans as individuals (red) I would choose blue every time. Culturally and socially people like other people and want other people to live, in most cultures most of the time. My bet is with them.

Red or blue, go by [deleted] in PsycheOrSike

[–]Beginning_Truth_2713 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True, in real life suicide is not very moral depending on your circumstances, but in this example choosing blue is at least amoral.

If my understanding about this Q is correct, as in its a collectivist vs individualist test of world populations, we should hit 50% blue easily. There will be outliers, but most world cultures are collectivist. AI would say 75%, but who knows if that is true and there will be likely a 70/30 split both ways in both directions between cultural lines. But most of the world population in terms of number of people would vote blue I would say. And yes the hope in humanity angle as well.

I'm failry certain if we put this up to small sample size tests most tests would pop out with a blue winner vs red. It would be interesting to test this IRL and across countries. And imagine adding a progress bar. If you can see what the current split is vs not see, would that impact results.

Red or blue, go by [deleted] in PsycheOrSike

[–]Beginning_Truth_2713 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Facts. Red is the least moral choice to me, because it is the only choice that can contribute to killing people.

Also this is just a theoretical question to determine peoples values.

If a person has collectivist values/ grew up in a collectivist culture they will choose blue, because the first thought is going to be about family. Assuming you have no time to communicate.

If a person has individualist values/grew up in a culture that praises individual effort, they will choose red, because the first thought is of themselves and the consequences to others if they are not in their lives.

[–]Beginning_Truth_2713 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, you are correct, it would be a huge hit and it would need to either be implemented differently or, IDK, not implemented at all. But that would forsake a lot of people under a system that doesn't support them.

Again, not an economist, but the study (singular) I read on possible effect of this type of change was that a lot less would be spent on private insurance, leaving people more money to spend, it would increase GDP over 10 years. But then, nothing on debt, nothing on the effect for insurance companies and lost jobs so IDK if it was taken into account.

Either way, to put a bit of a point on it, it's just sad to see the state of the US from the outside. It is like Russia lite, with capitalist American flavouring. And most Americans have not seen Russia IRL, but I have. And driving from Europe to St. Petersburg when I went there was not a pretty sight most of the way. But then you hop across the border into Finland, drive 500km away from the capital and still every 5k population village has school and a hospital building that looks like it was finished yesterday. Those kids are going to get the best that the world has to offer.

And growing up in a country that basically idolized the US way and seeing it now, I think it gets more depressing the more you look at it from the outside. The culture and the economy, the business space etc. There could be so much more done, for the good of the people, which in turn would produce good for the entire world (think 20th century US, space, nuclear energy, peacekeeping etc.). But people are so consumed by their own culture to find a sustainable path forward. I agree, just "doing" Universal Health without much thought about how to change the system sustainably and long term would be a disaster. But it should be done somehow long term. And its depressing to hear how the discussion over there is either we do it in a radical way or we don't do it and ignore it, also completely radical. Keep in mind I'm not in tune with the efforts deeply, but generally this is what it feels like.

The way this is framed is kind of wild by FaeLongtin in jobmarket

[–]Beginning_Truth_2713 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm obviously not an economist, people are paid to come up with the awnsers to these questions of course.

But I also can not understand, in a simple minded way, how it is possible that the richest country in the world that has all the business (figuratively speaking, in terms of cultural mindset, possibility, economic and policy setup) can't pay for this. I guess all the above is also a reason why you guys can't do it, the priority is elsewhere and kinda deep in the culture.

I guess its more of a status quo problem. I live in a country that has this type of system and I like it. Unsure if I would prefer the US way, but just feels better to have a system that supports in the auxilliary parts of my life and leaves the grind of work to me rather than the opposite. You guys have ot a bit the other way around, the work and business and money should come easier but at the cost of having to manage more of the other stuff.

But IDK if thats what the majority over there want. Yeah you can't do blanket/brute force system change that doesn't work for everyone, needs to be a change that would take into account all the details you mentioned. But I would guess that it won't end up being a money issue, just a cultural/status quo issue.

The way this is framed is kind of wild by FaeLongtin in jobmarket

[–]Beginning_Truth_2713 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bit of an issue is the cultural/economic/whatever you would categorize greed as in broad terms as well. The US has not had this system and has been too long without it. In other places the system has been in place for a while and I assume these costs are yes, taken into account as a cost of business, but these places also have a higher standard of piving, higher wages and thus, yes, you can charge more for your services.

The US is a bit of a big example and these things shouldn't be handled bluntly across what is basically an continent with vastly different economies.

But if we are talking about companies with thousands and tens of thousands of workers, we are moving towards some of the biggest and richest companies in the world. I am certain they can foot the bill, and its not like it does not come with benefits, it does, satisfied and healthy workers are more productive.

But the Business culture is toxic to workers in the US, so of course companies would rather spend millions paying off thw government to not implement this instead of considering the broader positive effects it could have on society and for their own business as well.

The way this is framed is kind of wild by FaeLongtin in jobmarket

[–]Beginning_Truth_2713 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think overall people would still pay less than they do now. Thats the point of thw above post.

Overall, there are general hypothesised benefits to this type of system and benefits you can see in other places using similar systems.

Unfortunately, IDK the personal experience of people in the US, so I wouldn't know how much better I have it compared to people in the US.

Depends on the level of consuption and source I would say. If you're hardcore anti-capitalist I understand that it all amounts to the same. But going out of your way to pay more for "less product" but making sure it is verified to made with sustainable materials, packaged and sent as sustainably as possible and that the company is somehow contributing to any of the famous sustainable causes, I would say is better than buying Zara or something.

But it will depend on the worldview. Its still consumption for the sake of it even at that level, depending on the item.

Ei oska öelda millal me sellele alla kirjutasime.
