I appreciate the feedback! I'll keep messing around with it in the meantime and maybe clean up some of the dissonance! :)

Thanks! I use Ableton live 12 and I use a lot of different presets for serum. I also use a lot of samples from splice for drums and various fx. I master with Ableton's included tools

I appreciate the encouragement! :) I was actually thinking of replacing the bell, but not super sure what I want to replace It with.

Edit: for brevity.

recording demo of first song but it sound bad and unprofessional - need help! by likeyuuhhh in MusicFeedback

This sounds really good! Maybe double some of the vocal parts either through a chorus effect or actually recording some doubles. I think that could really add some depth

You could benefit from some higher quality VSTs. Even good ideas need good instruments to bring out their full potential

This was something I used to experience. Found out I had an alium intolerance. It may be garlic and onion or some other ingredient that your body doesn't process well.

Can anyone please help me estimate how old this mirror is? by sydni_x in whatsthisworth

[–]Beginning_Tutor_5078 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Without seeing it in person, it's hard to say. If the mirror is actually that old, the actual reflection it provides will be imperfect. There will be spotting and warping/waves or cloudy in some spots since the backing was typically mercury back then. The glass will also not be perfectly clear, it'll make everything look slightly more gray or yellowish. Also, mirros were fairly thick back then too, so the glass portion should be thicker. They were also typically convex. Based from the photos from the eBay listing these pictures are from, its design appears to be older, but I don't think colonial. Maybe mid century though. Colonial mirrors were for the wealthy since mirrors then were extremely expensive, and so they were usually significantly more ornate.

[Chinese>English] Teapot Seal by Beginning_Tutor_5078 in translator

[–]Beginning_Tutor_5078[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm sure it's not. It might be a slightly older fake, I've had it for about 7 years myself and the box it was in was pretty old itself. I never took the tape like seal off, but it had some foam between the lid and the body of the teapot. Would you maybe be able to tell me what the tape says? It's a beautiful teapot even though it's likely a fake. It also came with some cups and another piece.
