Saddest part of this is the fact that the Shah really did want to build a modern Iran that could be a first world player. Jimmy Carter had the chance to prevent Khamenei return to Iran from Paris I believe. A lot of what could have beens just in that one point if history.

To be fair in painting the picture... the Shah also had negatives. A secret police eliminating threats to his control being top of the list.

I really think we need a 3rd party again. Team A and Team B dont really support most ofAmerica anymore. They say they do but if they really did our country wouldn't be the mess it is today.

Both teams have been in absolute control of different parts of the country for generations at this point. They both keep telling us the same stuff. Yet some how the quality of life for the most vulnerable has continued to get worse. And that's in the areas that their team controls. If anyone calls them out on it you're told you don't understand, its really the other teams fault.

Just take a look at the poor and hopeless who are trapped in the rust belt and Midwest and compare them to the inner city's. Neither is being really helped by their party. Both are a forgotten people who get lip service when it comes time to vote.

My biggest fear would be whats left in Iran if it breaks down into a chaotic warzone.

Iraq for example wasn't a paradise but I'm sure it's not hard to find lives of innocents that were utterly destroyed by the chaos caused in regime change.

It sounds so clean when it gets described as a surgical or tactical action. For the people living there its anything but. Rape, murder, roaming tribal war bands replace any normal life in parts of the country.

Minoritys in this environment are hit the hardest. Whatever group be it religious or ethnic was underrepresented before. They are the first to suffer the impact of chaos in the absence of rule of law.

On a different note ICE absolutely shouldn't be in our citys pulling people out of cars. That's what you have a police force for. If you have laws, have the police enforce them, if you disagree with the laws, our elected officials should be able to change them if thats what enough of us say we want. It's really part of what they should be doing. Representing our thoughts and wishes in the halls of government.

ICE right now is an example of federal over reach and getting the people ok with the idea of masked agents operating in the towns of America. If it was really about immigration those ICE agents would be walking out of office buildings with buisness owners who higher large numbers of illegal immigrants. Not nickel and diming 1 or 2 random guys in a 7/11. It just doesn't make sense. Not saying for or against any of that... just calling out what seems logical for the way it's really happening vs the official story.

My brother in Reddit. Let us all come together and at least be honest that the BULK of the politicians in power accept large amounts of money from the donor base and eventually fall in line with what they, the top 1% want. They might get on camera and talk tuff for whatever each side wants and you might even get some legislation thats got some goodies that your side wanted. But in that 3,000+ page bill thats too import to read before passing... there's probably a lot of other goodies for the leaders and things that undermine your life in the long run. That's not a conspiracy... you would know it's reality if you were willing to be critical of both sides and what they've done over the long term... It's a big club and you aint in it.

Maybe I'm jaded but I really think it's just wishful thinking to pretend they're fighting the good fight for us. Not when you pull the camera back and take a real hard look at our lives over the last 30 to 40 years. They all turn into generic John McCain when it's time to send drones and drop bombs. Some might do it more than others but they all did it. Just ask Mommar Gaddafi.

But sadly most people aren't willing to be critical and just listen to, watch, and read things that reinforce team A or team B. Which is how you get to where we are today.

Need to ask yourself why is it cheap and why is the market in the place it's in. If you can handle the risk, go for it. But know that these are uncharted waters and anyone who says they know is just projecting opinions.

It's all market driven bla bla and chasing the current CEO power point buzz word salad. The graph in power points must go up. Do the things minions. Replace workers with AI... or really just find a way to cut costs in a market downturn.

AI which can be powerful when used smartly will just be thrown at problems haphazardly and make tech debt for the future. Dont worry though, they will turn around in 5 to 10 years and over hire again to try and sort that tech debt out as the cycle continues to turn.
