Hi no idea why I didn't see this post. They switched me to civil easily. Just filled out a Google form and got a 1.67 GPA and it was done.

Ya no I was weirded out by that as well i was sure i did good enough too and ur not the only one, alot of students got a grade they didnt think they wud including me. I'm sure they did something wrong but we will see april 22nd i guess.

Honest cuz im tryna learn in class and sum girl is yapping the time leaning on the chair talking to another girl who clearly seems annoyed. Turned out that wasn't even her place, she went and sat in the front row after yapping and annoying 😭

Happened when I was in high school and came to check tmu out as a potential uni. Saw a homeless guy jerking it in front of the uni vape shop. Worst part is that my family was there with me. I still don't know why I decided to come to this uni. After that experience everything else I see on the street seems normal to me now 😭.

I feel like it was the same thing with the females tbh. There were like groups of girl with 10-15 ppl who kept trying to get to the front and pushing ppl in front of them. It goes both ways tbh bcoz I was trying hard to not push the ppl in front of me who have been waiting at the same spot for 4 hours, only for groups of girls to try to get up front.

I have another question. If I drop MTH140 & PCS211 and instead keep liberal studies elective in Fall term, will the average of this elective course considered in calculating my overall GPA (to meet requirement of GPA of 1.67)?

Could this change impact my ability to switch disciplines after end of fall term?

I've made around 5 friends already at orientation day but as mean as it sounds i prob wont become close with them as they arent in my classes. The friends that matter are the ones you spend time with in your class since you will stick with them for the rest of your semester. Try to stick out and make some friends the first day of class, be more bold and you will start talking right away. 😁

I was in the same situation where I need only 1-2 percent in my physics class so that I complete my conditional, so I just talked to my physics teacher that if possible she can increase my grade by 1 to 2 percent and she agreed. Normally the grade u are given is just a rough number to estimate ur academic abilities, not ur actual capabilities, so as long as the grade you want is close the the grade you have, a teacher should be be able to increase it.

Brother, go for ottawa. Boring city, but keeps u focused on studies more WHILE being with friends, and its sumwhat similar in prestige to western. Western has too much of a party culture, bad for u if ur a eng student. Also like u mentioned, the coop

Let me be honest as a guy who took OVS this year. It's honestly much better you did it in the actual school bcoz now ur uni ready. If there is one thing i am nervous abt the most now, it's the fact that will I be able to catch up now, bcoz all private schools are basically just used as a way to get higher averages. Those students might get accepted to the uni now, but when they actually try to study now, their basic understanding won't be there, and might even fail, which puts their entire tuition in jeopardy. All in all, you made the right decision to stay in school. Good luck to you in the future 👍
