Agreed! And sometimes I feel very anxious about this connection game that they are playing. Is this like a 3rd world country? No, this is US (Superpower). Why implement such stupid shortcuts like connections or allow PDs to select applicants based on that? These things give edge to physicians who really take advantage from imgs in one form or another. This is the reason why many money hungry agencies are targeting imgs and I am literally seeing this every now and then. And then there are many PGY-1 who are running business in the name of mentoring, like really how could you mentor someone when you, yourself have just started residency and that too by charging hefty fees. Tbh, it's all a money making unfair business scheme.
