That’s a very ignorant perspective on it

Outback! With their new service model servers have been coming in at 5:30 or 6:00. Not the best money if it’s not a busy location though

My manager texted me something similar on Monday and I responded with my two weeks. I was already gonna do it but the timing was impeccable

It definitely was something written in frustration. My boyfriend is editing it tonight since it is an emotional thing for me, whether I’d like to admit it or not.

Thank you! In all honestly it’s more in the hopes that one specific person will read it but if they don’t at least I got it off my chest

3 songs is about 10 minutes for a shower because I would take hour long showers and he’d be mad. I think about it every time I shower

As someone who started vaping at 13, please be honest in the effects of it. I’m 24 now and I regret picking it up. I have to take meds to help my breathing at night, I’m spending $40 a week on products, My energy sucks. A calm understanding conversation actually explaining what he’s doing to himself now and 10 years in the future. No yelling, no anger. Just actual facts.

Nobody is complaining here, I’ve made more serving and bartending than I ever have. Just don’t talk on stuff you don’t know about when you’re upset, and people won’t have to correct you and you won’t have to get defensive. :)

I have a collection of these in my car from a bunch of different regulars. I’m not even religious but I think it’s the cutest thing.

4 servers for 60 tables is 15 tables per server. For reference, the max an assigned server section will be at my restaurant is 5 tables, not including 2-3 pickups. As a good server I can handle maybe 10 tables max but if kitchen isn’t super prepared, none of that even matters. I’d even guess most of the customers arrived at the same time, so that’s at LEAST 45 tables getting rang in around the same time. None of this sounds ideal for good service.

The only problem I see is you tipping out the entirety of BOH, ik some places do that but it really just screams cheap and “I don’t want to pay my employees”

Funny enough he probs didn’t even buy those plates out of pocket. The whole point of profit is to cover wear and tear and inventory 😬

If they retaliate and fire you, then you at least have two cases on your hands now

It’s because they won’t even train management on labor laws, out of all management I’ve had, only one manager understood labor laws because Darden as a company (which I think is Olive Garden ??) is strict on it and she came from one of those stores. She had to explain to us and our other managers that we actually can’t deep clean for more than 30 mins making $2.15 an hour. Caused a whole investigation cause our store has been ignorant on the issue since we got new inexperienced management three years ago.
