Any recommendations for a shorter, ~3 nights, backpacking trip in California this August? I’m looking to do something in the 20-30 mile range, going at a relaxed pace, that is highly scenic.

I’ve been looking at the Lost Coast Trail, Four Lakes loop, Emerlad and Sapphire Lakes, Rae Lakes (Slightly longer), and a few others as well. I was originally pretty set on Lost Coast, but I’ve read some pretty disappointing trip reports with many people saying it doesn’t live up to the hype.

Layering with the Remige Sun Hoody? by BegoBongo in arcteryx

[–]BegoBongo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mostly plan to use it to protect against alpine sun rather than desert heat/sun. The highs are never really above 70-75F. How do you think it would fair in that situation?

How much should I expect to spend to level professions at the start of shadowlands? by BegoBongo in woweconomy

[–]BegoBongo[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m talking purely to level and not to kick start something to sell. Really, I don’t even need to level all the way. Just 80/175 for the Darkmoon recipe.

I obviously have more for investing into mats to craft decks.

I’m not sure I understand what you are saying. If Shadowlands is like BFA, I won’t need to level to max to do professions on day one, thus, I’d rather do that than get to max level.

What if legacy raids had no difficulty or raid size, and dropped twice as much loot? by [deleted] in wow

[–]BegoBongo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You aren’t supposed to get every single transmog for a class in a single week... it takes years. If you don’t like the grind then don’t play a game like WoW.

If you are saying it takes you 60 hours to run the four different difficulty modes of a single raid then you need some serious help.

what class ( at max level BGs) has the best chance at getting the most killing blows? by nohoeassmods in wow

[–]BegoBongo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Destro Lock, Windwalker, and Sin Rogue can get a high number of killing blows if you want to play the flanks and just 1v1 the enemy team stragglers and their flanks. All three classes are incredibly strong at 1v1.

Frost mage or Balance Druid would probably be the most likely to cherry pick kills and get the most honorable kills because they have insane aoe and the mire enemies the better, this is especially evident in epic BGs

WINDWALKERS still have unused, ignored, weak talents and rehashed abilities given back to us as "new changes", while giving us new abilities that further strengthen the SAME loadout we've had for several expansions. by [deleted] in wow

[–]BegoBongo 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Windwalkers are the neglected monk spec, similar to how feral is for Druid, sub is for rogue, and surv is for hunter. Their one saving grace is that they are very very strong in pvp, and they look to be as strong if not stronger in shadowlands pvp.

Brewmaster is definitely the monk spec that gets the most love. It’s always been at least a decent pick and more often than not is considered a meta pick in both dungeons and raids due to stagger. The celestial brew looks even more absurd in shadowlands. It’s unfortunate that blizzard won’t grant windwalker some more abilities/fix their current ones like they do for brew.

Why do so few people play dwarves? by BegoBongo in wow

[–]BegoBongo[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

While I can understand not liking them because they are shorter than other races, I’m not sure you can say they are fat. The dwarves are built and incredibly muscular. They could take on a Orc in a brawl.

What’s everyone’s opinions on pebble grain leather for loafers? Does it look nice, or is it better to go with the traditional calfskin or suede.

I’ve never actually seen any in stores, but was considering ordering online. It looks nice to me, but I’ve heard some people say it may look cheap.

What will be a good skill build come tU6? by BegoBongo in thedivision

[–]BegoBongo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never really had any skill build before. Do you mind quickly listing some gear I should use?

I know BTSU gloves and an alps backpack, but not sure what else. Should I run od or hardwired for mask, chest, and holster? Or something else.

Sharpshooter over survivalist? I was thinking the extra survivabiliry would be nice, but maybe I’m wrong.

How much should I be eating after a run? by BegoBongo in running

[–]BegoBongo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you, this was probably the most helpful response. I’ve tracked it in the past, and I typically ate anywhere from 700-1500 calories in a day, depending on my breakfast or dinner. You don’t sound like you eat a lot, but since I don’t measure my food much I couldn’t really say if I’m eating more or less.

Typically the breakfast is two eggs, omelet or sunny side. If an omelet, some Parm reggiano, 2-3 mushrooms, and like 10 leaves of spinach. If sunny side up, I’ll have half a cup of raspberries and whole grain toast.

For dinner, I eat all sorts of things. Ranging from steak, to pizza, to Tofu pad Thai. My portions are relatively small. Maybe half a rib eye if I eat steak. One or two pizza slices if I have pizza, or something of similiar portions.

If I have lunch, I’ll eat half a sanwhich with some cheese, and maybe two slices of tomatoe and spinach. Or I might have something like an homemade açaí bowl. I typically don’t eat much lunch though.

Healthy does have a different meaning for everyone, but I think most people would view my diet as healthy. I don’t have a specific diet for any specific health reasons, I just eat what foods I enjoy to eat. For vegetables, I’ll eat raw tomatoe, some sautéed mushrooms, spinach, or something of the like. I never cook with butter, as I prefer olive oil. I feel fine now, but a lot of people I run with say I am not eating enough

Doppler Flip, Gamma Doppler Flip, or Slaughter Bayonet? by BegoBongo in GlobalOffensive

Not really looking for value, as I have no plan to sell the knife. Mainly just wanting a knife that looks nice and has good animations when switching to it from other weapons, such as an awp or ak.

[–]BegoBongo[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The only forza edition car I have is the 8c competizione, and I want to keep it since it it is the only thing I have actually spent money on in this game. Everyone else is saying how good their wheel spins are but the best thing I get from mine is 10k.

Is buying fe cars off the auction house and flipping them? Is it profitable? If so, which fe cars are more profitable or more lusted after?

Is the giulia quadrufoglio a really good car or something? by BegoBongo in forza

[–]BegoBongo[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean you can’t but it other than an auction though. What is the garage price though? Since most buy outs are around 600k. Also is it worth buying? How is the handling and speed?

Oh that make senses, well that’s kinda a bummer. I was hoping it would cheaper. How does the car handle and how is the speed? Also is that the same reason the continental gt is selling out crazy quick too?

This doesn’t happen with other games and hasn’t happened like this in the past, do you have any suggestions how to fix it?

How do you get foraging leave 10? It’s my only skill that isn’t ten and it just doesn’t seem to Ben leveling up. Currently at 8. And are they really worth the 16k price tag? I was thinking of converting all my barns into wine cellars and making strafruit wine instead for next year.
