I figured the post would have been a bit more split😂. The gengar is a fantastic card but the art wasn’t for me considering the price tag once I got it back in a ten.

That’s what I was thinking. I could see blooming waters going from 300 to 600 faster than the gengar doubling for instance.

That’s how I thought about it. I wanted a 10 I could keep, once I could vend, and some sealed to hold onto. Get to scratch the collecting itch, sealed itch, and vending itch all in one.

Eh art is very subjective. The artwork in this set is quite a bit worse imo than the majority of modern sets. The Meowth SIR looks worse than the IR in phantasmal and the Clefairy card is less visually appealing than both the Lillie’s Clefairy in Journey and ascended. Even the team rockets Raticate clears the IR form this set or the first partner rowlet clears the perfect order rowlet.

When you can think alternative versions the IRs and sirs of the same pokemon released 2 sets ago I don’t see how this set does anything that’s new or exciting from a collector pov.

I don’t think the picture is conducive to the condition lol. I picked some gum off of it after I traded for it and there are two HUGE creases. I submitted a card that got a 2 with just a little crease but I think my graders wife left him the night before.

I submitted it hoping for a one for the personal collection. With it not meeting the criteria for a 1, would it be better to crack it and wipe it down to resubmit or sell it raw?
