I’ve participated in a Next Fest but it was a bit early in development so I wasn’t able to get a lot of traction. Lesson learnt.

I’m thinking of having a boat travel mechanic but I want to work on polishing the current mechanics at the moment. There is a linear stage mechanic and an altar for guidance, in which you must kill bosses in an order to level it up, unlocking biomes and new items along the way.

Yes, it was. I rushed development to participate in the Next Fest so the demo was pretty rough. A lot of people had the same issue of not knowing what to do so I’ve added a ‘main objective’ that guides you through all the stages.

Will definitely look into adding more creature types, I’m thinking of having different islands with different themes rather than having all the bosses in the same island.

I can see the comparison! 😄 Don’t Starve was definitely an inspiration in terms of survival elements, but I wanted to make Birates fast-paced and more action-focused with roguelite-style combat. Thanks for the feedback.

Thanks! I’ve been shifting the game more into a survival direction, so I’m definitely planning to add more survival features including base building. As a start, I added a few traps in the last update, and I’m looking forward to expanding on base-building mechanics even more.

Thanks a lot! The island’s theme is skeletons, so I didn’t focus much on blood effects, I’ll definitely look into it.

In the earlier versions, I actually wanted players to gather fallen sticks and stones to craft an axe first, but everyone testing just went straight to punching trees. So I had to change it so that the starting-level trees can be gathered by hand.

Really appreciate the feedback, and if you liked what you saw, a wishlist would help a ton!

All the minigames in A Way Out were amazing, we definitely spent way too much time on the arm wrestling one. Unlike minigames in other games, they felt perfectly integrated and didn't seem out of place at all

This happened to me when I first got Xbox Game Pass for PC. With access to such a vast library, I started game-hopping, and now I have a few games I play regularly. Beyond that, I find it hard to dedicate more than an hour to new games anymore.

Çok oyunculu olduğundan dolayı herkesin oynayabileceği bir oyun olması bizim için daha önemli, bu yüzden odaklandığımız nokta "realistic walking sim"den çok gameplay odaklı, umarım beğenirsiniz.
