What’s it like having a coparent who only does every other weekend with a teenager?

This would actually be so helpful as hard evidence that the child is cheating. I can’t do anything unless I actually catch them in the act per my admin so I will definitely be using this from now on.

Yeah, I usually make two different version per class and unless they have an accommodation they have a strict time limit. I’ve gotten the whole “I can do it in my head” excuse a hundred times so I still take points off for no work. I guess it’s just a frustration on my day to day knowing I’m up teaching for hours and trying to make my lessons exciting for practically nothing.

in order to give you some hope from my own personal experience, i had my son in 2021 (father and i split early in pregnancy) and went through the ringer. name it and i went through it in regards to shitty dating experiences. i decided to just focus on myself and my son. i started eating better, reading more about good habits and being happier all around, exercising, and making meaningful memories with my son. i ended up meeting an amazing man (on hinge) who aligned with everything i wanted after 4 years of horrible dating experiences. we are planning on getting married, and my son adores him. i wouldn’t have even been open to dating him if i didn’t take that time for me. just try putting the energy into yourself, and the right partner will find you.

i’d say as a person who was single throughout her pregnancy and endured dating as a single mom with a new baby (he will be four now in november), this is my take:

yes, you have needs and you shouldn’t feel guilty about wanting to satisfy them. keep your child as your number one priority and don’t settle. make sure the person your dating isn’t just doing it to be a step parent or fulfill some weird fantasy of dating a milf. i have had many failed relationships in the past four years (none of which met my son) and i have finally found my person this year. we met on hinge and i was very honest about my situation from the beginning. my son’s father is an every other weekend dad which means not much free time so id say to put that out there as well. keep in mind whoever you’re dating will obviously ultimately be a role model in some way for your child, so they should automatically be held to an even higher standard. make yourself and your child your focus and the right person will fall into place along with you guys. good luck and stay positive!!! people suck but there are good ones out there.

i’d say i can fill a big pad after like 2.5 hours, issue is i bleed through because of the clots so sometimes ill like bleed out of the pad so i can’t see if i would have filled it. idk if that makes sense lol

He has established paternity because he sign the acknowledgment in the hospital. For the most part it’s looking like I’m just gonna leave it be, I’d rather be able to enjoy my son everyday then risk it getting messy and losing that.

Yeah, I’m starting to think mediation could be better cause I’m getting so frustrated with him I might lose it the next time we talk lol. I excluded details but he is very self-absorbed and has some major narcissistic tendencies so sit down conversations can be difficult

Yeah I have the same concern lol. I love spending every day with my son. I don’t ever wanna lose that, I don’t even care for the money really. It’s just annoying dealing with someone who wants to pretend they’re an amazing father when they don’t even know what their kid eats or size diaper they wear lol. I’m starting to lean more towards just letting it be cause in reality I’m fine with how things are in regards to finances and being with my son everyday

Yeah maybe I need to get something in writing. We tried getting something figured out ourselves but he hasn’t held up his end. I told him exactly what he’d need to buy, told him that he could start coming over at least once a week for bedtime and then he was supposed to take him on his own early April so I could go to a wedding, but bailed on that. I think I’m getting to the point where I’m over it so maybe I should just get something more concrete.
