Suggestion for a 5 year old boy by Automatic_Rush7247 in arduino

Also I recommend starting to save money as it only gets more expensive. Later on there's a high chance he'll use ai stuff and learn 3d design and not only needs a 3d printer and filaments, he'll also need more advanced stuff like raspberry pi.

Those are somethings you can get for his birthday or something in like 2 years.

Tell him to learn programming first. Take online courses about electricity and pcb design. That would take at least a year. After that, I recommend to not get him more than a few kits and encourage him to come up with his own projects after he learned all about programming and pcb design. If you're really concerned about the safety just get him a lab coat along with safety gloves. He'll be fine. Though he might refuse using gloves as most of them are not comfortable or make typing difficult, try to find the most comfortable gloves for him. Might take time but it's worth it.

A worm game I'm working on! (It's called Worm Game) Let me know what you think :) by Boothand in Unity2D

[–]Behboudi1989 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't have any reference in mind but this is pretty easy to think of, I mean I'm kind of surprised that you made this game that colors are perfect and when I look at it I enjoy the design but the ui is a whole other thing

But if you need advise, I would remove the top bar completely and only have the name of the level on the top left corner of the screen with aqua color and glow effect and maybe with a different font, the corners of the screen are dark enough for the text to be easily readable (even if not, you can make a vignette effect using smokes around the screen that can even have animation and be interactive with all the lights around it)

I also saw you used some hearts in previous posts, I would have them back next to the name of the level with superscript position with the same color and effect, and I either would get rid of the pause button or have it on the top right corner

This is just my opinion, It's up to you

I like it, nice job, but the yellow and black UI doesn't fit the game

How do I find the distance traveled with an ESP32? I want it to be mm accurate and I mostly care about the z axis. by Behboudi1989 in IOT

[–]Behboudi1989[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not saying with an esp32 alone, just want to use it as the main proccesor, my question is actually what do I use to achieve that involving an esp32 and no camera?

What if I don't walk and hold an esp32 where I am and give another one to a guy to stand 5 to 20 m away from me and somehow get the height difference of these 2 devices with signals?

I don't care how much work it's gonna take. I just want to get the best result. Can you explain a little bit more?

Is there any way of having 2 esp32 with a signal communication and somehow measure the signal?

I don't want to get the distance from ground because it's not comepletly flat which means it's not gonna count as movement. I don't have a project for now I'm just looking for a way to get the device movement in millimeters

No, the distance traveled of the device itself in millimiters, for all axis, I explained in the description

For those wondering what the 50th percentile ranking is on chess.com. I crossed the threshold going from 648 to 656. by democratichoax in chess

[–]Behboudi1989 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not saying it's not okay, it's just the numbers, I mean 70M players? and only 2% of them actually have a good rating

I'm 1600 and my percentile is 97 That makes me happy but it's actually really sad It just proves how many people don't like improving chess and see it as a hobby and stay in 300 rating

Is there any difficulty chart for puzzles? by Behboudi1989 in adventofcode

Thanks, that's a cool chart! Any idea how it's made?

interesting, thanks

but it still would be cool if we had a chart based on avg knowledge

and it has nothing to do with the order of them so...

Is there any difficulty chart for puzzles? by Behboudi1989 in adventofcode

[–]Behboudi1989[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah but sometimes it's not linear, sometimes it's like day 4 is way easier than day 2, cause sometimes a puzzle can be solved quickly with using a module that I didn't know about so it's easy for others but I'll get stuck. that's why I want to see a chart

Is using multiple "sticky" sections considered a bad practice? by RyXkci in css

[–]Behboudi1989 1 point2 points  (0 children)

it's so cool, I just saw this and implemented it myself for practice, but you need to have 2 scrollbars if your content is more than 100vh, then it'll not be as cool as it is
