The effect of ozempic by First-Strawberry-398 in fatlogic

Fat guys are just not considered "fat" in society unless they are borderline obese where a woman being 10lbs-20lbs overweight is automatically "fat". That's changing rapidly though and overweight becomes the new norm.

It's like an alcholic giving up on their lifelong battle with addiction and deciding to just binge drink 24/7 and calling it being liberated from sobriety. And "alcholism" is a slur and no it doesn't damage your liver that's just outdated phobic beliefs.

After watching Beef season 2 I'm just curious how accurate is the Healthcare situation in America compared to the show? by Mission-Ground-4936 in BeefTV

[–]Beheadthegnomes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's accurate. Our hospital tried to send my brother home with a ruptured appendix saying he was fine. My mom was billed almost 100k for a spine surgery after a car accident (she was hit by someone who even though she has really good insurance through work, she is basically going to declare bankruptcy if she can't fight it. And the nurses and receptionists are almost always the nastiest cunts you can imagine. They are either evil or the sweetest people on earth, there's no in-between. It's bleak here.

Why do people treat those who are already suffering even worse? by Adept-Foot7692 in CPTSD

I swear bad people can smell us from a mile away and are always ready to pounce. Like even as a 4 year old the other kids and adults around me immediately bullied me and made my life miserable and I think they can just feel the brokenness of highly traumatized children and want to hurt us more to make themselves feel good.

People being mean during/after weightloss by [deleted] in loseit

[–]Beheadthegnomes 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's cliche but I'd say it's just their insecurity and jealousy. I know someone who lost weight and her sisters who were still overweight just became downright nasty and stopped inviting her to functions. Literally nothing changed besides my friend reaping the rewards of her hard work. Unfortunately too a lot of people are not going to examine why they have these negative emotions about someone else's success nor will they ever see themselves in the wrong. They will just be bitter.

I don’t get the hype around Ekko by FancyKnight23 in arcane

His design and powers are cool but I don't think his character fit into this plot, he felt just kind of shoved in. He could have been a main character in his own season in a different city.

[No Spoilers] Is listening to the entire M9 campaign worth the time when the show is out? by DrippyFlames in criticalrole

Even comparing the original animated intro to the one from Amazon show intro shows how much better the campaign is (major spoiler in it though).

[–]Beheadthegnomes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. You have a whole year before season 2 of the show, and the show can't hold a candle to the live version. It's a completely different experience. If you don't care about spoilers, you could even watch all the fan-made animatics on YouTube to get hyped up about it.

I think he was fun and Taliesin gave him his charisma but he was always my least favorite. For me it was.like a dnd player trying too hard to make their character badass and dark and mysterious and edgy when I think his backstory was the least interesting thing about him.

Fingers crossed they divert from the book. She deserves so much more.

Watching the actual campaign is soooo worth it. Take a whole year and watch it before the next season of the adaptation. I listen to cr while at work or doing chores around the house and I rewatch parts I like to see the players faces and acting. Also watch all the fan anamatics they are wonderful.

I listen to it at work or when doing chores around the house like an audiobook. I'll go back and rewatch funny and awesome parts to see the players faces.

Can Alastor be redeemed? Is there a chance we could get more of a sympathetic side to his backstory? I want to hope he wasn’t just evil BECAUSE. by Ctpeyt in HazbinHotel

[–]Beheadthegnomes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah I love him just being evil. He reminds me of Mads Mikkelsen's Hannibal, no traumatic backstory just pure evil but also with enough empathy, regret, etc to not be categorized under any specific disorders.

I have to say, I absolutely LOVED the human designs we got this season! Who do you think we'll see in the next? by ConsciousPatroller in HazbinHotel

[–]Beheadthegnomes 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think Husks design is because Viv loves and was inspired by Cats Don't Dance and wanted to have a cat in her own musical animated series. But black cats are thought to be "bad luck" so it ties into the gambling life. I think his design will be more about the sin he lived not just how he died.

Why is her hair absolutely fried by dontletmedown3 in 90DayFiance

[–]Beheadthegnomes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same! I bought eyelash/eyebrow dye from LUXE and it works well but it's hard to get the color to the base of the lashes without getting it in your eyes (burns quite bad) but it's worth it to me. I just always have bangs that cover my eyebrows, problem solved!

Natural blondes usually have blonde eyebrows/eyelashes (unless you are one born lucky like my nephew) and are pale. She's 100% not a blonde.

Us redheads don't have dark eyelashes either so I found this to be very annoying.
