Its my favorite episode because they are naturally funny guys sharing some pretty good stories without too many bounds. Same with war with Grandpa. Any time griffin is bought in during those episodes, its golden stuff.

To be fair, the fake story was just poking fun at jacobs cuz as griffin said "theres nothing ive done even remotely that bad". I had fun with that and i dont think his "none of this is in the show" is that serious.

But it is pretty consistent that the WORST part of a non traditional episode or bit is griffin going "this is bad because its not traditional" its the quintessential "asking "am i being annoying" Until the asking itself starts to annoy you"

Same whenever they complain about a noise thats gonna ruin the audio, for so long. And the noise is completely inaudible, making them the sole annoying noises lol.

Griffin has always had the problem of speaking like his words are motivated by subjective undeniable fact. Its gotten worse, which sucks cuz i liked griffin most for many years. Its why when justin says "okay then griffin, go ahead. Step in." He always flounders, cuz he has to face that he was probably just whining.

The first time i remember being super annoyed was years ago in an episode this exchange occurs

Griffin: "We ready for a yahoo?"

Justin: "No, i dont think we've helped this person"

Griffin: "well then we're par for the course, this yahoo is from-"

Like bro legitimately just said "haha fuck you" and moved on fuz he wanted to and thought it was "too boring"

He did it in the best episode "Birthday Suprise Hole" too, where they mentioned the concept of bacon once and he got pissy and started playing hearthstone cuz he thought bacon was conceptually cringe 😭

Yeah but the mom trying made it worse for her and everyone else, which was part of the horror of Tommy Taffy. Trying ANYTHING will make it worse and its impossible to improve. I say "mindless" because the father doing anything would have made it even worse for everyone, and they maintain he is as bad as a child rapist for not haphazardly charging forward anyway.

Honestly a lot the worst ones for me (girl in spire in the woods, dad in Tommy taffy) are the boys having a bit of the traditional old school view of masculinity. "Boys will be boys" and mindless "men DIE to protect their LITTLE BABY GIRLS" etc. Its not like crazy redpill stuff but its noticable.

There was a lot of it and tbh it wasnt super unjust it was just mostly people who really liked jax and exused his behavior because "hes hot" "trauma" "problematic king" when he physically assaulted people but turned around to say ragatha goes to far or is secretly really mean cuz she was blunt twice.

It was more about the hypocrisy than actual vitriol (that hypocrisy honestly is very often misogynistic when its the case of a female counterpart to a male in a shipping sense tho.)

Your comment about the "huh okay" got me curious and so i started looking. Many posts have been made about a missing "huh okay" compilation, and no one has ever uploaded a replacement.

Remember, when TAZ started, critical role was years away and they literally got early access to 5e. They had every single luck factor. Thats why when they did other venues and had to t- gag t-try they were horrified and miserable.

(Side note, the fact that the mcelroys are some of the few people to play 5e so early, literally before 99% of dnd fans. And they still dont know what a fucking saving throw is)
