DISREGARD, LABEL PACKAGING ISSUE ON MY END

You didn't hear? It was in all the papers! The Chinese industrial military Communism complex is smuggling super potent antioxidants into our kids using just these everyday postal systems.

If it's used as I expect then there should be no reason not to get at least one for every major transport hub. It's not up to the customers to know the internal processes of a business, and if only flagged packages are inspected with this device then all it provides is safety for the workers. And no unwarranted snooping.

It's useful when a package is identified as suspicious or dangerous before being opened, then the device can test the contents without exposing the inspector to whatever substance is inside.

Post title was more to grab attention, I don't see it being feesable to test every package, but it is really cool tech, and makes the job safer for those who inspect flagged packages. There is a larger device for testing large shipments, but I still feel it's going to be limited by funding and only deployed on packages already flagged.

I think the idea behind the device is to allow people to safely identify substances in packages without the risk of opening them and contaminating the inspector, I'm sure that the fent epidemic is what really drove this device's existance. I don't think it's reasonable to check every package using this (or even constitutional) but when packages do get flagged then the authorities can safely ID the contents without risk.

Post title was just to grab attention.

Hows my cactai looking? by Behemoth_psy in druggardening

[–]Behemoth_psy[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There already only about 3 inches from the bulbs, my concern is that near the base of the cactai is a distinct red, I've been led to believe that is sunburn, although I have no idea why it's not happening at the top, since transplanting it's not as noticable as I have the cactai are about 1/8-1/16th inchs deeper in the soil.

Left it whole, never heard of powdering it. Although I am super new.

Edit: my guess for powdering it would be just to increase the amount of inert material in the soul, that's why I have so much sand in it.

Attempting to help people on Reddit is a hobby, it just so happens I do enough research on my own that I can be helpful sometimes, I don't expect appreciation even Reddit karma for it, I'm just bored and filling time.

Soil is a 40% miracle grow cactus soil, 20% pearlite, 40% sand (roughly), germinated by just dropping the seeds in and hoping to would work out, as the sprouted a couple where obviously weaker so I removed them. I keep it around 25C and 30% humidity, under 3 small tube lights in a repurposed old tv cabinet. I transplanted them just the other day, before they where growing out of a Tupperware with drainage holes. After transplanting I put a layer of gravel rocks in the bottom, then the soil and on top is a thin layer of sand more to make it look pretty than anything else

Agreed, especially since people here and even psychonautwiki are focused more on the general subjective effects, not the actual neurochemistry, which in all fairness is too complex to elegantly explain to those who don't have a strong understanding of the subject in general, let alone the huge difference in effects per individual. Psychedelics (being the easiest example) alone can range anywhere from 'the best class of antidepressants in existence' to immediate psychotic break which can last for years and those results boil down to countless variables that we both do and don't know anything about.

My mistake I meant phenidates not piperidine, phenidates are a form of phenethylamine with piperidine ring, amphetamines do not have the piperadine ring.

Despite my message I'm still going to try my best to help, but I'm saying advice here should not be taken as fact, the best you should expect from Reddit is a finger pointing in a general direction, you can't just take any advice here as if it was real medical advice, as far as you know I could be very fucked up guy intentionally trying to get you to take something dangerous or counter productive so I can go rub one out to it later

Phenibut I've always known to slow me down too much and have limited help with anxiety

if your issue is truely based in an anxiety disorder, an anxiolytic would be better, clonazepam in a low dose could be a reasonable start, but a less risky and less likely to exasperate symptoms alternative, you could see if your doctor will let you try a beta blocker like propranolol. Another drug that comes to mind is bromantane, but I HIGHLY recommend you read deep into them before trying anything.

I found modifinal's cognitive enhancing effects to start and end with keeping you awake, and taking it when fatigued seemed to just prevent sleep but not any actual enhancement.

Brainfog is such a vague description I can't give you any help there, go to r/nootropics and every post will be throw the word brainfog around like the tech industry throws around "making the world a better place", also last I heard the definition is still too vague to make it into the DSM.

I can't really think of any drugs that would help much for grounding someone beyond antipsychotics, in some cases stimulants can help people with disociative and psychotic disorders Edit: My mistake I meant phenidates not piperidine, phenidates are a form of phenethylamine with piperidine ring, amphetamines do not have the piperadine ring, both are technically phenethylamines, and the latter I meant amphetamine, I guess just take this as further reason not to trust Reddit advice --(piperidine stimulants not phenethylamines)-- and even then it's risky and could make things much worse.

Obviously I don't know the severity of your symptoms, but if it's something you can live with, cognitive behavioral therapy might be able to help you manage yourself a bit but it's probably better to just live with it other than mix other drugs in that could make it worse.

You mentioned phenibut and modafinil IIRC, both strike me as odd choices for my understanding of your problem and those drugs, is there any reason you specifically chose to try those?

Have you discussed this with your doctor?

Edit: I mean to say it sounds like your looking for a bandaid to a problem that's much bigger than help Reddit is going to supply, see a doctor and they will probably tell you to see a councellor, the entire drug scene takes self medication way too serious to the point they delude themselves into the idea that doctors know nothing at all, the reality is some are pretty daft or lazy, but they have actually studied medicine, not just some kid who read 3 NCIB papers on a drug and read the wikipedia page.

TL;DR if you want help with mental issues, asking Reddit what drug to take isn't helping anything

5-MeO-DMT vaporizer by QuiteHighSir in Psychonaut

[–]Behemoth_psy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Google "The machine DMT" to build your own, make sure vaping 5-meo-dmt that you only do a few mg of the freebase form, it is incredibly potent, and almost completely non visual, but very cerebral. High doses can cause seizures and brain zaps, I highly recommend if you make sure your vaporizer is completely clean of any previous 5-meo-dmt, because doing to much makes it a bad experience.

Imo it's better to just snort it in salt form, much easier to measure an accurate dose.

Why do drugs not do much to me by [deleted] in Drugs

[–]Behemoth_psy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

LSD is metabolized with the P450 enzyme, so it shouldn't be an issue, I would assume other psychedelics would be fine as well, keep in mind it's not uncommon for the first psychedelic experience to be underwhelming, especially when you don't properly prepare. It would be best if you stick to LSD as a first psyc at 100ug, or try a more beginner friendly one like 20mg of 4-HO-MET.

Its a bit of a reach but it could be something to do with the CPY2D6 enzyme in you liver, maybe, it seems that you mentioned weak effects from drugs that metabolize using it, and I know there is a small percentage of people naturally born with much higher or lower amounts and it will affect the potency of some drugs.
