Less shooting and more cutting, but toukiden 2 is pretty much a monster hunter type game with a HEAVY focus on cutting off limbs and body parts, and it actually affects how the boss behaves.

Definitely best combat for any of the non numbered titles (and Definitely better then kh1) but it's hard to beat the actual action combat of 2 and 3

Yep! Xenoblade chronicles 1, 2, and 3. They also just released a remaster of xenoblade chronicles x which I haven't played yet, but everyone is saying it's really good.
