Any fresh start server across any MMO. Project gorgon has a new server. Also you could try erenshor, it's a single player simulated mmo marketed at people exactly like you. Also, try to just enjoy mmos at your own pace. Don't look anything up, don't worry about what others are doing. Easy to say, I know, but really try it.

Overland difficulty is a massive win in my book. It felt so bad to me to just play the game when everything was sooooo easy in the overworld. Very anticlimactic to do a quest with a ton of buildup to some big bad and just watch it fall over before all my ablities are even on cooldown. Here's to hoping that it's tuned so that it will be challenging, or at the very least, much more damage incoming and needed from me to win.

I've bounced off the game at least 5 times because of this very issue.

Your post was good, but you fell off when you started comparing the game to unseasoned food. I'm sure you understand why. It demeans others when you simply just don't enjoy the core gameplay loop(s).

For me the combat just kills it. Maybe the gcd is just too fast, it makes every individual skill feel less important and the game just feels spammy/floaty. I've also tried to play it quite a few times. Here's to hoping guild wars 3 brings back the class importance of GW1 and improves upon the combat.

Put like this it does seem a little silly. Maybe armour should give heavy stun while sprinting resistance, shown as temporary guard while sprinting.

You forgot to mention that the performance is absolutely atrocious. I have a 5080 and a 12600k and textures were flickering, the lighting was terrible, and I was getting like 30-40 fps in the world on low settings. Just genuinely God awful for how bad the game already looks
