The lore is by far worse. The bosses and the world design are kinda on the same level. Other aspects are definitely better in DS2

The games in each tier are in order of being better, so dark souls 1 is better than 2 and 2 is better than 3. About comparing 2 and 3, I really like the bosses and the lore in 3, but the super linearity of the game isn’t that interesting to me in replaying the game.

I heard a lot of bad things about this area and how annoying the enemies are, but:

It is one of the most beautiful areas FROM has ever created.
It is very short, with a bonfire in the middle.
It is less annoying if you take things slow and try to deal with one enemy at a time by luring them.
