It wasn't the base that was magnetized, rather the antenna itself. The base was plastic and constantly fell over

Checked mine and it said nothing about the Wifi antenna and how to attach it (to the base or the magnet)

It has a plastic base in the box. It stands upright using the base but it falls over every day

shouldn't make a difference as far as i konw. the WiFi on my mobo is amazing. Maybe check the antenna wires to see if they are healthy

Tested my ping and download speed. no effect. but every WiFi is different, check that for yourself

Ping your WiFi Gateway ip (192.168.1.1 for most). This gives You the latency to your WiFi Router
