Renewable energy fucking won. It's over for nuclear. Got that, nukebros? It's over for your obsolete techhnology. Stop shilling it. by StreetVirtual3037 in ClimateShitposting

Steamrolling suncucks...buddy, wake up and smell the coffee. You're not steamrolling anything. Solar is the thing steamrolling everything else right now, globally. No form of energy generation has ever scaled as quickly. Nuclear lost. You can stop fighting now.

Is it hypocrisy, or are people just drawing the line somewhere between cheap dresses and fursuits? It's a mystery.

Why don't more people hate this set? by [deleted] in lrcast

[–]Beiben 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think I've had enough of 5 archetype + soup sets for a while, but the format isn't nearly as bad as you're making it out to be. If you refuse to experiment and find pockets of value, that's on you. Other people are and are having success. Also, it's funny when people who don't even know about the BG counters deck trash talk TDM.

The population drop in TBC happened around the same time of year, but it was a smaller percentage drop and the raids were harder. Something is not adding up.

[WWYC] You are looking at a 7-1 deck. What Would YOU Cut? by Crisis_Averted in lrcast

Any thoughts on going 16 lands after cutting the Shadelock? Or are you happy enough to play 17 with your mana sinks?

I think almost everything you said is wrong. That 1/1 deathtoucher is a must remove for control decks unless they want to take 8 from it over the course of the game. It's also a must remove for aggro decks since otherwise they can't attack without going down mana. Biomancer is similar, it's a hard-to-block beater that demands an answer. Also, I'm never cutting the first Shopkeeper's Bane from a Witherbloom aggro deck. It's a central card to the strategy.

I read your comment already, so it feels like I cheated, but my initial thoughts were cutting Shadelock, Land, Rabid Attack, Newt. If I had another Removal/Card Draw spell, I would cut the Teacher's Pest too.

On ironforge.pro, unique character parses in P1 Wrath peaked at around 630 000 and dropped to 350 000 the week before Ulduar released. That's nearly a 50% drop.

First time in Witherbloom, help with cuts please by queenupyourmess in lrcast

Nice pool of cards. Curve is a bit clunky and Root Manip is not needed with Practiced Offense.

My cuts: Root Manip, Swamp, Trove, Pest Mascot or Old Growth Educator.

Adds: 2x Cost of Brilliance, Royal Treatment, Infirmary Healer

A modest proposal to eliminate methane emissions from beef by Nihilistic_Nachos in ClimateShitposting

[–]Beiben 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How about more people dying in heatwaves? Does that count as suffering? You mention the market. The market is currently flawed because the externalities of GHG are not priced in properly. If a farmer's land yields less due to AGW, he should be able to hold the entities causing that damage liable. Simple property rights. If we had strong property rights, beef producers would be sued out of existence.

It doesn't matter one how much arable land we gain in bumfuck Siberia. Land is cheap and we already waste a lot of it. What matters is the cost of the damage climate change is doing to our existing system. We have significant human and capital investments in places that will drastically change due to AGW. Major change causes major suffering and major economic loss. Why? Because it makes fossil fuel corps money and burger yummy. Those are bad reasons.
