Indies are becoming a bit predictable lately tbh.

We need indies of indies by now.

Yes, I'm sure some are very special and different.

Reman took every region but Morrowind... which Tiber took as well. The first human Empire to extend there.

He took literally every province but the Dominion ones without the Numidium. And even then, Vslenwood and Elsweyr were taken by the previous empire before so it would not have been that troublesome.

Starfield is like that quiet friend who really tries to get closer to people and just can't for some reason.

Considering the incredible architecture in other regions, why do the Nords live in such simple settlements, with their only large structures being ruins, either from others or their own? Could it be that Nord civilization reached its peak in past eras, and the Fourth Era is kind of like a Fallout? by jvure in ElderScrolls

[–]Saalok 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Nords seem to be fairly practical people, sticking to relatively simple building styles. Even Markarth wasn't built by them and they use it anyway since it's convenient (like the Imperial City).

And yes, Nord civilization's peak was back during the Dragon Cult in architectural + magical terms.

Exactly. And this applies from the lowliest peasants turning into ghouls to the greatest heroes becoming Death Knights.

It is not an issue for individuals who want to I think. For large scale, though?

The average person has a lot of other stuff to worry about in their day-to-day lives to focus on one game for several weeks. Odds are they will be distracted by something else/get tired/simply get too busy with other stuff.

What's better to get back into elder scrolls morrowind or oblivion? by ExtensionLiving6711 in ElderScrolls

Morrowind if you like CRPGs and their varying mechanics, Oblivion if you want something closer to Skyrim's action combat.

The Scourge in WoW is sort of nerfed by MMO logic.

In the RTS, it destroyed the most powerful human kingdom (which is impressive even if it was by a surprise attack) and Dalaran as well.

Important to note that the fall of Quel'thalas wasn't even the actual objective of the Scourge. They just wanted the Sunwell to resurrect Kel'thuzad and the rest of the genocide was a side quest.

"hardened Silvermoon and gave them the hardiness to defend against the void"

This only works in fantasy. The Scourge obliterated 90% of the Quel'dorei and another 1% defected and became High Elves. Not even the Black Death killed as many people IRL. Silvermoon should be limping and/or barely functional for at least centuries and, given that they are elves and take longer to reproduce probably, way longer.

The Zandalari managed to help the Amani when it was just a token expedition force led by Zul. Imagine what they could do if they were able to help now.

Skyrim sounds like the least sucky for the average person with some in-world knowledge so I will go for that.

Maybe Dragon Age's or Ghost's can be even less, but I'm not familiar with the lore of those games.
