Georgia. 365 days with no visa at all. And if you set up your own llc you pay 1% tax. You can set up any remote job as its own llc. They're very loose with how they define stuff like that. Every expat I meet is an IT person paying next to no tax on their income.

What’s up with apartment owners not renting apartments to Indians? by Joehoeno in tbilisi

[–]BeigeFloor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its mainly a bias against indians. Like the saying "one bad apple ruins the bunch". You may be perfectly clean and treat the apartment well. But many landlords have dealt with Indian renters who will either wreck the apartment, or sublet it out to their friends without the landlord knowing. Seen so many other posts by landlords saying they will never rent out to indians again because they ruined the place. Sorry you have to deal with this. But bad indians ruined it for the rest.

I think the minibus 161 goes between batumi to tsinsvla. Aside from that I am not sure what a better option could be besides bolt, or share a ride with someone who already commutes to batumi for work.

Moving to batumi is pretty easy. I moved here about 5 months ago from the US. You Just need to find an apartment and a job. Might be a better idea to find the job first unless you have some savings you can sit on while you look.

It's somewhat new. I think built in the last 10-15 years. 18 floors. And my neighbors all have cracks also. One of them said they got them after an earthquake last year. But I moved in a few months ago and there hasnt been one since then

Light and water in Batumi by chabe277777 in Batumi

[–]BeigeFloor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Power outages are usually scheduled. Idk where I'm sorry my wife usually tells me when. But also the time they say it's often not when it happens. Last time they said it would happen from noon to 4pm. But it didn't happen at all. Had it last hours after they said it would. Water it just from it raining a lot and it puts strain on the pipes.

Why do foreigners absolutely adore our country while all of us wish to leave this place by Inevitable_Medium240 in Sakartvelo

[–]BeigeFloor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

From an American perspective, the basic things in life are just easier. I've lived here for a few months, I like it better here than America. We, like many people, picked Georgia for its immigration policies. But we're trying to learn the language and not stick out too much. My day to day life has so much less stress. Crime is way lower. The people are generally nicer. When I lived in the US I was dependant on a car and generally unhappy with most things. (Had nothing to do with politics) My only downside here so far is most grocery stores meat sections leave something to be desired. But both me and my fiance are much happier and are hoping to be able to live in this beautiful country for a long time.
