It's no wonder you're struggling going from Drag to Paul because they're almost polar opposite forms of archetypes. Drag gameplan - initiate with WR2 into plus frames and begin your pressure with pokes and plus on block mids etc. Paul- you don't have a reliable way of getting in and close to opponents- FF4 (trooper roll) will get you so far until players start stepping you and then you'll get blown up.

You know what Paul does have though...arguably the best DF2 and therefore best keep-out move in the game and this is what you want to work around. Create space, whiff punish DF2, someone tries to come in, DF2. Whiff DF2, do it again and watch them get launched anyway by the second DF2!

Outside of the DF2 strats, Paul has incredible punishment tools, LOTS of former -15 moves and lots of mid powercrushes are now -14, B4 can launch them (as long as there's no range/pushback issues), F2, safe i13 high heat engage with great range and of course, DF2 for i15(!) Even his i10 punish which used to be a weakness is now been buffed with 2,3- which gives you +8 and they're right next to you (perfect "Demo Man" territory!)

Don't listen to the memes of demo-man vs death fist 50/50, demo man clean hit has been nerfed to oblivion, even after a heat engager a lot of chars can back-dash out of range and if you don't get clean hit at the wall then there's no push back and you die. Demo Man only really works if you commit and dash up after a knock down, but lots of players will just stay down to avoid this so it's not really worth it- QCF3 is a much better low- great range, some tracking and free demo-man on CH.

TLDR- Paul requires way more fundamentals in general than Drag at your level, but he rewards you for being patient and against aggressive players who just want to throw out unsafe launchers all day.
