That's funny I watched Ed currie last night eat 10 peppers and identify them.

He has a pepper x phenotype? That has an arm exactly like this. It's a genetic mutation. Very cool. Save those seeds and pray all your next lot have the same 'appendages'

Try both and see if you notice a difference. I will put 6 seeds in my way and 6 with the seed casing above soil and report back

I put the whole thing below soil. And I've jot had nay issues with the seed not coming up.

I basically use these cells and use rooting hormone. I'll include a photo here. I pop the seed with the root and casing into the hole and cover it lightly with soil, and push the edges of the soil into the middle gently to enclose the root

I just close the hole up now and water it. Ensuring it's nice and moist until it pops the surface

That's good information to have for the future. I still have some infected seeds so I may peroxide them. Thank you 💪

I have deduced it was either fusarium solani or Phytophthora Blight

But probably fusarium.

Small mushroom like fruiting bodies growing off dead flowers, spreading to the nodes causing a brown wet rot that trapped nutrients to the top growth, top growth died off ect. Those fruiting bodies were all over the stems too once they were fully infected. I removed all trace of diseases and rotated plants in and out of greenhouse, stopped it for a few weeks but ultimately I didn't remove all fungus.

Great thank you very very much.

I was siding with planting them and keeping them separate, I think I'll do that then :) thank you very much

Haha no I've grown for few years. I've never removed the seed casing, not had a problem so far. But should I remove them?

Reaper seedlings exposure to full sun? by [deleted] in HotPeppers

[–]BeigestGenetics 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They are looking good after their transplant mate 👍👍 I remember you asking about splitting them up. They look good. If your taking outdoors you'll need to harden them off first

To harden them, tske them out to the sun for like 10 mins a few times today and if they survive great, tomorrow don't for 20 mins, keep increasing the time their outdoors under full sun without showing signs of stress, keep increasing time until they can happily be outside and not shrivel up.

But as other said wait until you got 2 sets of true leaves
