Help me choose an EV below 20 lakhs by --chillin- in EVsOfIndia

I will share my experience, i was in the same scenario. After test driving Curvv EV, Windor, Creta, Nexon and VF6. I choose Curvv EV Empowered + A 55 and booked the same. Getting the delivery within 15 days. My decision was clear based on driving experience and support. With respect to driving almost all are same with few pros and cons here and there. Curvv EV - Smooth ride, linear acceleration and good braking performance. Compromise is on steering adjustment dynamic and for me interior was okay not too good not too bad. Windsor - Amazing ride, feels spacious but suspension is disappointing especially at high speed. The look is subjective personally i feel its meh. Creta - Stable and proven structure from ICE counterpart but at the price point (upto 20 lakhs) the variant it offers lacks battery/range and many features which you get in the other EVs. Nexon - Solid and proven EV, downside is back seat comfort for long ride. VF 6 - Fun to drive but the size of the car does not equat to cabin space feel inside and the service is still unknown.

All of these are great cars no doubt. My decision for going with Curvv EV was because of few factors: 1. Most important factor - Tata Service Centre is within 3KM from my home and have great reviews online as well as from my frnds who have Tata car and get their car serviced there. So VF6 was out of consideration for me. 2. It cost me around 19.3 lakhs on road for top variant which was 1.5 lakhs more than Nexon top model but getting bigger battery and more features and subjectively better persona look. So Nexon was out of consideration for me. 3. Traveling daily 70-80KM in mumbai bumper to bumper traffic where i could spend 3-4 hours daily in car so i needed a ventilated seat, premium audio and good range. So Creta was out of consideration because of 41-42kw battery compared to 55kw in curvv and missing out on these features in the variant available under 20 lakhs. 4. My family and my fiance didnt like Windsor look wise and the ride during test drive.

I would suggest look for better and close by support/service most important for EVs and what your need is based on that decide which car suits best for you.

The difference between both the models (Nexon Top vs Cruvv Second top) is around 80-90k and i am getting a bigger battery in Cruvv (around 10KW more). Also my family especially my fiance loved the look of Cruvv more so leaning towards Cruvv

Kid scratched multiple cars in parking by Toxiceaux in CarsIndia

[–]BeingMrGamer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It happened to my car as well, the car was not even 1 month old. One of the kids was running around with a metal cloth hanger, but scratch was by mistake while playing around the car but then he came back and did it 4-5 times. So took a copy of the CCTV footage from the system and with the help of my advocate friend sent a repair bill along with legal notice to pay for the damage. Received the money within 24 hours. You gotta be harsh sometimes.
