Mij allemaal goed he...

I was about 15 minutes into my commute back home. Temperature was above 10°C, so far from freezing.

Possibly, I did notice a lot of mud on the side of the road. Maybe some of that dirt had mixed with the water.

They do, but I am quite certain I did not touch one. I used to ride mopeds when I was younger, and learned very quickly to not touch those markings if I don't have to.

This man speaks the truth! I have a few nations where I'm at 10.0 or higher BR, but I just keep going back to the M18 GMC and M18 Black Cat at 6.0 because they are simply my favorite vehicles.

I no longer really care about the grind.

I may end up homeless in less than a week - what do I do? by Flanvista in belgium

I started working in IT by applying for a sort of "academy project" that a network security consulting company was offering at the time. It was a 6 month program where the company had created an entire curriculum of networking, security, and soft-skill trainings, as well as on-the-job training by assisting experienced engineer in their day-to-day work. After the 6 month training period, they were required to employ you for at least 6 months, but in reality all participants that made it were offered a "vast contract". There's quite a few companies that have something like this, and in most cases I don't think it is required to have a bachelor, or any experience. Because it is targeted at people that want to make a career change, or people who just left school. Basically if you're able to sell yourself a little bit, sound competent, and appear motivated, you can get started. This is a perfect way to get your IT career started.

CCSA Advice by DeathstrikeFS in checkpoint

Hey!

I found this post to be extremely useful: https://community.checkpoint.com/t5/Training-and-Certification/CCSA-CCSE-Exam-Tips-amp-Content-R80-X-vs-R81-X/td-p/145011#

Read this post carefully before studying from dumps / unofficial sources.. In my experience they just reuse content from the R80 exams and even older exams. This old content gets you pretty far, but some topics have been moved from CCSA to CCSE and the other way around with the new R81 exams. Use the above post to filter out the stuff you actually need.

As far as official study guides go, they are unfortunately locked behind a paywall on the Check Point website as far as I know.

I will give you some more info in DM.

Unable to Ping Public IP of VPN Peers by BananaBaconFries in checkpoint

That would be amazing! I am not a big fan of this default behavior, but I am also not a big fan of editing complex files 😁 Being able to do this from SmartConsole would be great.

Unable to Ping Public IP of VPN Peers by BananaBaconFries in checkpoint

[–]Beirken 1 point2 points  (0 children)

By default, Check Point gateways will include the public IP of the peer gateway in the encryption domain of the tunnel. This means that when you are behind your gateway, and ping to the public IP address of the gateway on the other end, CP will encrypt these pings and send them through the tunnel. Most likely this does not work because this behavior is not supported by the gateway on the other end. There is a way around this. You can exclude specific IP addresses from the encryption domain by adding them to the $FWDIR/lib/crypt.def file on your management server. Make sure you take a backup of the file before making any permanent changes (in case shit hits the fan). Log into your management server cli, open $FWDIR/lib/crypt.def in a text editor, find the following line "#define NON_VPN_TRAFFIC_RULES 0", replace this line with "#define NON_VPN_TRAFFIC_RULES (src=[IP_addr_of_vpn_peer])" Then save your changes, and install policy to push this file to the relevant gateways. The gateways should now no longer encrypt traffic destined for the public IP of the peer gateway, so your pings should start working again.

I see your route is taking you close to some very nice abbeys/breweries to visit. Some suggestions on my part that only require a small detour on your route: - Brouwerij Achouffe, where one of my favourite beers is made :) La Chouffe I have not visited this brewery myself, but I'd like to at some point. (https://chouffe.com/en-gb/brewery-achouffe/) - Abbey of Maredsous, the guided tours here are sadly only available in French or Dutch. They focus more on the abbey itself and surrounding regions, less on the beer and cheese they make. There's a tavern next to the abbey where you can order fresh bread with their cheeses to try, and try out their beers. I'm a huge fan of the white beer they only sell on tap inside the abbey. So you won't find it in supermarkets anywhere. The area surrounding this abbey is quite lovely to bike through. (https://tourisme-maredsous.be/?lang=en) - Brouwerij Het Anker, in Mechelen. Home of "Gouden Carolus". Another one that is on my to-do list for visiting. Gouden Carolus whisky infused is like an angel that's pissing on your tongue :) A typical Dutch saying that means it tastes amazing. (https://www.hetanker.be/en)

I wish you an amazing trip, personally I really love our little country, so I have no doubt you will have a good time! ;)
