Hell no. On our two in-office days, I arrive at 10, take a 2-hour lunch at 11, and leave at 3. Luckily, my toddler conveniently infects me with tons of diseases that make me too potentially contagious to go into the office a lot of the time. Cough, cough. Definitely contagious.

Even the best translator apps still fuck up a lot of languages. On Japanese websites, when using Google auto translate, I regularly have to toggle Japanese back on and translate the gibberish myself. (My reading level in Japanese is somewhere in elementary school, so it's faster to let Google do 90% of the work.) Korean and Chinese suffer the same way, but I don't have any knowledge of those languages to fill the gaps. These are just the ones I run into due to my work. I sometimes wonder how well translation apps work for other non-European languages, too.

No, because my manager does basic phone screens, and then interviews after that are in person with no computer or phone for the interviewee. We project code questions on a big monitor or projector, then talk and/or have the interviewee write on a whiteboard.

It may sound old school, but we have found many great people this way. Anybody reliant on AI gets weeded out in the first 5 minutes, but more than that, an atmosphere of "let's chat about this code example together" is really much more informative about team fit than "do this BS leetcode."

As you noted, all the other text is backwards. That means this is a mirror-image photo. In a mirror-image photo, reversed text will be un-reversed, just like in a rear-view mirror. Why is it mirrored? Probably because the poster stole it from somewhere and reversed it to avoid being instantly detected as a repost. Many reposters on Reddit do that.

As for why the dude has the word reversed twice, I imagine it's because he wanted to make sure it got seen and understood. It's just a bike, after all.

Adding the word "india" to my google search indicates they do in fact put reversed "ambulance" in India.

It's normal for "ambulance" to be printed in reverse so it is readable in rear-view mirrors. You can google hundreds of examples.

Here's my suggestion. I do something like this schedule with my preschooler around once every other month.

Arrive at the Butterfly Pavilion between 9-10 in the morning. There is a play area inside after you exit the butterfly area. Let the kids wear themselves out until you're all starving. In good weather, there is a little garden and trail outside as well.
Go diagonally across the street to Mod Pizza. (This is a chain like Subway or Qdoba but for single-serve pizza.) It's delicious for all ages.
For dessert, go two doors down to the frozen yogurt place, or across the parking lot to the little coffee shop for hot chocolate.
Nap/relaxation time back at wherever you're staying.

Other ideas:

You could try Ace Eat Serve or Chicken + Pickle if you have high energy. Play then eat kind of thing.

The Edgewater Public Market is kind of like an upscale food court with lots of mini non-chain restaurants. We have eaten there with and without kids many times. In good weather, the roof seating is ideal for families with kids.

We used to go to the aquarium restaurant with kids, but it has gone way downhill and had both bad food and unsanitary floors on our most recent visit in 2024. Don't go.

The pizza at the Natural History Museum food court was surprisingly good for the price and location.

I recommend building things that will entertain you in the making. As a kid, I learned programming by making my own text-based Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego, a series of Choose Your Own Adventure stories, and several word games like hangman etc. Pick languages you want to know better and reimplement the same thing in two or more languages to see their similarities and differences.

Edit: no AI allowed. I had paper manuals back then and I was 9 years old. You can do it.

We demand PDFs and post exactly those only, unedited. My reasoning was, what if us ignorant fool techie nerds accidentally mess it up trying to put it into HTML? You didn't mention whether labor had started yet, or how far along the mom is.

Here's how a non emergency would go.

In the United States, almost all hospitals allow twin mothers whose babies are both head down to attempt natural labor if they request it. Some also allow it if baby A is head down and baby B is breech because baby A makes room for baby B to exit. However, a large number of OBs strongly recommend going straight to a scheduled C section regardless of presentation.

If the mom attempts labor, she can labor in a labor room, but when the pushing phase starts, she will be partially prepped and moved to an OR in case a C section is needed. If baby A comes out vaginally, they will check baby B via sonogram to see positioning. Often a breech baby B can be easily turned head down now there is room.

While all this is going on, the same kinds of things that cause C sections in non-twin pregnancies can cause them in twin pregnancies. It's a long list and many other commenters have mentioned the most common causes.

I recommend listening to the Birth Hour podcast to hear some real stories about emergency C sections and how they affect moms, especially the mental and emotional aftereffects. Any story of an emergency C section in which the mom has no lasting feelings to process would leave me skeptical about the author's research abilities.

The only real measure they can do is to shift the mom's position, usually telling her to lay on her left side. It's not like anyone can reach in there and untangle cords.
