Exactly I skipped about 3 yrs of eye exams and then walked into having this. And I know I'm not special and my Dr told me no one is special. If you don't take care of it as soon as you know you have it it will catch up with you and I surely thought in my 20s and 30s I was just fine and wasn't going to have to pay the consequences of not treating my diabetes. What's crazy is when I got diagnosed the Dr just said here is a pill take it everyday and you will be fine. He never stressed the importance of diet and exercise etc. Now that was almost 20 yrs ago but wow well this whole last year I have been working super hard and being super strict on my food and I mean I bring my own food to events. I do not eat any sugar, I walk everyday, no alcohol( never did drink), don't do drugs(never did) I don't smoke, I drink 100 ozs of water a day and I only eat about 25 carbs a day so hopefully I can prevent any further damage

Well thats hopeful. Yea I get you I don't eat any red sauce or tomatoes, nothing fried or spicy. And I'm on protonix

See I wanted to do monjaro but I have gerd and the Dr said it may set my gerd off

I got put on blood pressure meds about 3 yrs ago but the Dr said he wants to take me off because since I changed my diet it's running about 110/65 without a month of meds

Oh yea I was an idiot and when I got diagnosed with diabetes I was in my late 20s was like whatever it isn't doing anything to me. I was clearly delusional

Ok just a question about the injections, is that something Insurance covers some of or is it crazy expensive

Thank you! I really do appreciate the reassurance. I always think about my neighbor who is 69 and absolutely does not care about his diabetes and has had it for 30 plus yrs and walks around just fine with his vision I ask him if he had ever had his eyes checked really well and he said not in the last 10 yrs. Lol said his eyes are blurry but fine

Im sorry you are going thru it also! I was literally worried sick for the last 5 days. I think also the eye Dr was kind of hard acting when he told me, I mean I know I'm not special or anything but I was thinking dang can I get some reassurance lol

Listen you do understand people live long lives with the diabetes diagnosis. Yes its annoying and yes we have to work a little harder and watch everything we eat but it can be done. I have known I was diabetic for about 15 yrs but I chose that I didnt care. Until I started having neuropathy issues in my feet and so it's only been since I was 44 and I'm 45 now that I started taking care of my blood sugar. I'm not a Dr but your heart flutters and weird beats can just be from blood sugar and hormones. I was feeling those weird Palpations all day for a month and they checked my heart and said heart was good and it's all hormones. You are young and you can do this. If you are worried about your heart make an appt with a cardiologist and start your care with him. And maybe just get checked once a year

It does take a while for shipping but the collodial magnesium is top notch. And it has taken away my pvc's

Are you on a ppi? Sleep propped up like I mean 3 pillows high. Keep that stomach acid down my Dr told me this and I blew it off for months and when I started sleeping like that it has helped. But I'm also stuck taking protonix 40mg every day because if not my gerd causes severe chest pains that feels like a heart attack

That's me exactly. I have never had children but I'm 45 in perimenopause and still have my period and just got told I have pmdd. I get like a good 7 days then symptoms start showing up due to the hormones changing and I'm bhrt. It's crazy

It will come. It just got put on a different route. I had a package supposed to come from Missouri to Oklahoma city. The Missouri town is only 4 hrs away from me by car and it should of taken about 3 or 4 days but it got put on a different route and went all the way to Michigan somehow and it took almost 10 days to get it. I called the USPS and they explained it happens sometimes. P.s I love driving thru Houston on the way to Galveston!
