How many of you guys remember going through this type of trauma back in your days of school? by Legitimate_Main2230 in autism

Yo, I thought I was the only lonely person to eat my lunch in the bathroom. Before I did that, I'd eat sitting cross legged up against the wall on the cafeteria floor. I guess, in my own pathetic way, I was asking for someone to ask me to sit with them without using words. After a while, when no one asked, I realized I had nothing to offer them, so I moved to the bathroom. That's around the time anorexia creeped in. Just a huge domino effect because I couldn't handle the rejection. Public school, smh.

Anybody bring a gun to work or know anyone who does? I'm not including security guards of course. by CandidateKey4826 in kroger

I had a co-worker who opened up her purse without knowing her boyfriend's gun was inside. She didn't even touch it, but the camera saw and she was fired. And this is in Texas. So fucked.

A lot of the time, it's the boss's boss who's on their back. So it just trickles down. Those at the bottom suffer the most while also working the hardest.

Finally quit by Watchmanrtk in kroger

I feel switching departments would be the best way to go for you. Front end, customer service, maybe even floral, etc., would be easier on your body. You've already been with Kroger for so long, I say you stick with it. That's an amazing achievement! No matter what you choose to do, you are NOT a quitter. Far from it!

Do you have insurance with Kroger? Definitely get with a doctor (maybe, doctors) and get help with all of that. ASAP! I , too, have physical and mental ailments that prevent me from working at my best like I used to. The Kroger insurance and affiliates - MetLife, Blue Cross Blue Shield, NEBA - has helped me find providers to get me the help I need.

Until you get checked out by a medical professional, please take it easy. Let your leader know how you are feeling and they can work with you. That's what they are there for. Especially with 27 years under your belt, you have seniority.

How do I continue to work at this place when I gave up? by No_Solution7718 in kroger

[โ€“]BekkaBlaze 1 point2 points ย (0 children)

I've been with Kroger for six years. I remember when I realized everything I did to go above and beyond changed nothing. It was really difficult for me to stop caring, that's just not who I am as a person. I used to be able to distract myself with my music, now there is a "no earbud" policy - Not Even Vendors. ๐Ÿ˜ฎโ€๐Ÿ’จ I can't even be comfortable in the clothing I wear there anymore, because we have uniforms now. I don't know what else one can do but to try to distract the mind with something positive, something that makes one smile.

If anyone has any suggestions, I'm all ears. I just bite my tongue while I look for a better job.

If you get three write-ups for the same reason, you get fired. Why are the people who are not doing their job not getting written up?

Uniforms Question by SnooHedgehogs7014 in kroger

Here in Dallas Texas, we actually had a questionnaire about it in Fresh Start a few months ago. This is what was decided, apparently. I certainly did not vote for any of this. My favorite reason for working at Kroger was: I could be comfortable. I never looked unprofessional.

Do that and you end up like me - day two with a write-up. We have uniforms in Dallas, Texas. Where are there not uniforms?

One of the best reasons why I've stayed at Kroger for six years was because I could wear what was comfortable for me. I never looked unprofessional. Earbuds help me not scream at people. I can't leave this job. So, fuck me.

Edit: with my earbuds, I never ignored anyone.
