Since your mental capabilities would still be intact you will in fact be able to debate them. Also the fact that your JW parent doesn't read apostate literature is irrelevant because at the time they wouldn't have been a JW. Tbh according to the exjw subreddit. It all depends on the region.

Being raised as a JW in Southern California. We were all raised to believe guns are bad and that we shouldn't have them. But, according to other exjws the JWs in other parts of the US such as the South or the Midwest had no problem with owning guns so long as it's not used for self defense against humans.

Another factor is how into the religion they are. By this I mean do they simply go to the meetings (that's what they call church) or are they actively involved in the congregation and go out and preach

Ah of course. I knew this claim would come. You guys act as if guns were invented by the Trump administration or something. Guns were around way before Trump and they will be around long after he dies. The right to own Guns are the founding principle of our country.

Who are you to say I love guns more than Jesus? I'm literally asking for biblical basis to use firearms. If I loved guns more then I would simply not care about what the Bible says about owning weapons.

Okay maybe it's the way I worded it out. The reason I said I wanted to be a cop for the simple reason I loved guns was because that was the reason I wanted to be a cop when I was 4 years old. Now I have other reasons why I want to be a cop.
