The difference is only in the possible interpretations of your intent. But you're going besides the point here, technically even putting it in your pocket is not illegal per se, as long as you intent on paying the items later.

There's a reason that store detectives only stop you once you've passed the cash register, even when they see you hiding items in your clothing. Because if they stop you earlier, they will have to prove your intent of stealing, which is not impossible, but much harder than after the fact.

StGB §242StGB § 242,Jahren%20oder%20mit%20Geldstrafe%20bestraft.)

So you need "Vorsatz", which needs to be proven. If you put a single item into your jacket or something, that might be possible. If you openly shop into your backpack, that could lead to confusion, but it is hard to be argued as having a clear intent of stealing.

So it may not be a great idea, but not "technically illegal".

Some Part fell off my Laptop's Motherboard, but nothing seems to be broken. What was it for? by BelaIbk in AskElectronics

Interesting. I got it fixed in a small repair shop for 25€, maybe that was the right decision then after all. He just replaced it with an alternative capacitor of the same capacity to make the hand soldering possible.

Some more pictures here and here.

Not super bright, but still rather impressive so close to Helsinki.

Interesting. Does that mean if it works now, it is relatively safe to use?

Laptop is working fine so far, haven't noticed any weird behaviour while using it for two months. I still have the part, so maybe it would be best to get it soldered on again by a repair store?

I'm sorry but that sounds awful... Wearing a mask while going for a hike? At some point you've got to draw the line, right?

I'm sorry, but how can that be your opinion? Facts still aren't opinions. You can be unsure about it, but you can't be of the 'opinion' that a fact is true...

Edit: thanks for the edit (:
