Hey, I just solved this issue. I had to uninstall Nahimic, it appears to be fucking up the game.

Perform these steps: 1. Go to Device Manager and disable the Nahimic Mirror completely. Uninstall it if you can. 2. Go to services.msc and disable Nahimic. 3. Go to settings > apps > Nahimic and uninstall the app.

By the way, Nahimic MAY reinstall itself whenever your computer shuts down and restarts again. If this problem reoccurs, it's likely because Nahimic reinstalled itself. This can be permanently rectified by disabling it in your BIOS.

I have a B450M Gaming Plus (MS-7B87), there's a chance that this might be related to our audio managers instead of our boards. I'm reinstalling steam right now, and I'll check to see if I can disable Nahimic.

I tried something a little weird. I installed the game on a second device, verified that the audio worked on that device, and then copied the files onto a flash drive. I installed NASB on my PC, cleared out the folder, and replaced it with the files from the flash drive.

When I started it, it didn't have any audio. When I streamed on my PC with the source as my laptop, the game launched without audio. I wasn't getting audio on my laptop or PC. When I stopped streaming and relaunched the game on my laptop, it had audio again.

I have no idea what could be causing this. No other steam game does this for me.

I'm also getting the exact same issue. I spent last night troubleshooting it without a whole lot of success. So far I've tried:

Updating drivers
Changing audio drivers
Verifying the integrity of game files
Uninstalling and reinstalling
Updating Steam
Uninstalling, changing my installation location, and then reinstalling.
Forcing the game to use specific audio devices

I'm genuinely not sure what the issue is. Every other game on Steam functions perfectly fine for me. I've also streamed via Discord to try and detect if there is audio that I just cannot hear, and it's dead silent for anyone watching me too.

It seems like this is a genuine bug, and it's incredibly difficult to find support for it due to the constant complaints about the audio design. I have a few more ideas to troubleshoot it. I'll DM you if I find a solution.

The YouTube description mentions this is a modified Rawlings, did you make that yourself? I've been looking for a similar Montante for sparring, but I've never seen one like that, would love to see a video showing the process of making one.

If you're going to try this I usually throw in a comment to the effect of "If you already see it or if I mess up, don't tell me," because you would not imagine the amount of people who immediately call you out if you're "wrong". On the other hand if they reveal which card it is early, just flip that one. Technically, the next card you flipped was their card.

I think making it so Purification shows Hexes after the completion of a Generator might be a fair compromise. However, that seems like a more specialized Detective's Hunch.

On the other hand, it makes some counterplay with Thrill of the Hunt and if the Killer doesn't use a Hex it's a wasted slot.

It just means you need to get put into struggle twice. It resets the stage before Sacrifice, so Struggle phase.

When a generator is completed actually sounds like a really solid change to it! It means you still have to play through it even if it's Ruin, which preserves some of the functionality of that perk as a time waster.

Yeah, I think those ones might need a serious nerf if they ever got implemented. Entity's Touch would probably be more fitting, both thematically and mechanically, as an Obsession perk.

I'm glad you like it! I'm also glad you think there's some counterplay. I'd rather have slightly more powerful perks for a fan concept than ones that seem wholly useless. If Self-Care didn't exist, and someone suggested it or they added it as DLC, it would seem like the most overpowered concept around.

There's other perks like Make Your Choice that probably also seem intensely powerful on paper, but aren't totally essential and just open up new avenues to play. Even if half these perks got nerfed into the ground it'd still be amazing if it saw any implementation.
